If you like the idea of having firearms, get it. It's actually quite cool, but it takes a very different approach to the whole mount & blade series than warband. Some people think it's awful and much worse than Warband, because it's so unlike it. I think it's just as good as Warband though.

Does anybody know how to fix this problem I have where the game freezes and then alternates between two frames? The only way I can get out of it is to alt tab out and back in. But that's only temporary as it just does it again somewhere between 5 seconds and 5 minutes later. :smith:

It happens to me when I'm in the middle of a swarm of troops and I get pushed into the scenery try jumping around a bit or something since you're stuck in some object.

Man, I played Warband for probably 2 or 3 days, at least 5 hours each day, and then I got Terraria.

Far too many games I'm playing lately. Although I've gotten a bit bored smashing the crap out of the Rhodoks.

Want to start a new game with a horse archer or something again (which I suck at) and side with the Rhodoks and take out the Nords.

Would also like to make my own kingdom, how does that work exactly? Trying to unite the Caladrian's underneath the Vaegirs at the moment.

You need to gather a large enough force, make sure you are not tied to any faction, and then lay siege on a town or castle. It is usually a good idea to be friends with plenty of lords, since you will end up in a shitstorm of a war alone pretty quickly otherwise.

Haven't done it myself, but I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

Also, in terms of gameplay-

Merc Crossbowmen, cannoneers and grenadiers have been removed, and have been replaced with "skirmishers" which are 2nd tier, and carry a musket (looks a lot better as well), black brigand line, and one grenade. Swadian crossbowmen are a lot more expensive now, costing 1200 denars for 23 instead of 500. (400 denar wages) and Swadian swordsmen are a lot more rare. Haven't seen any of the new armours yet either.

The mod itself is in a fantasy setting, its just at times the lines between fiction and non fiction start to blur.

Nope, new changes mean that even in normal undead spawn after a few days. That screenshot was taken on day 2.

The invaders you seem to refer to were part of Native Expansion, and you could turn them off

Just edit your character file and give him 600 archery skill.

Otherwise, your best friend is looking on the taleworlds forums.

It's not, you just need high skills that's all. Dump ALL your stats into archery, power draw, horse archery(if you want to be a horse archer, that is) and weapon master
STR and AGI are going to be your main stats, don't worry about one/two-handed weapons since they'll improve in use.
I personally suggest to use khergit/bodkin arrows + normal arrows, that way two quivers appear on your character and you look badass.
Light armor is also a plus, as you'll be faster and able to run away. I personally prefer to use Tribal Armor because it looks nice.
Use War Bows if you want superior firepower and accuracy, khergit bows if you want a faster fire rate but less range.
At a high level your arrows will kill everything but top-tier troops and lords in one hit, and two or three hits will shatter any shield.
tl;dr it will take time, but at level ~30 you'll be a killing machine

I don't remember what the maximum actually is, but IIRC old m&b (0.808 era) always reset it to 699 if you edited it any higher
But you can't get that high playing legit anyway

Oh yeah more archery protips: have some super-fighter companions (Matheld, Rolf) and place them in a custom group, name it whatever you wish (mine is Guard)
Make them always follow you in battle so if you get rushed by some infantry you can order them to tie them down while you make your escape
