Thanks to the innovative and intelligent design which lets you load mods at a blistering rate of one at a time
fuckin my game froze when i alttabbed out to make a post in here while i waited for my troops to move and i lost about 2 hours of gameplay and an army of like 57 of elite units put me off this game for a bit, yup
F12 is to quicksave use him every time
Should use autosaves, heh
Should use autosaves, heh
Then your castles are all taken within the space of 5 seconds, you are captured by the king of vaegirs and your buddy autosave decides he's a bit lonely and wants to show up

I don't trust the game enough to put it on "realism" mode, sometimes it does stupid unfair stuff, like legitimately unfair stuff
How the fuck do people even make bigass epic armies in this.
I usually go campaigning, then when I run out of troops, I just go one recruiting sprees.
A great thing about blood and steel is that it beefs up recruiting from villages. Instead of "5 illiterate peasants agree to follow you," you get "20 recruit spearmen agree to follow you." You even sometimes get elite units from villages, but they're incredibly expensive. I once hired 19 huscarls from one village for something like 20K denars. Worth it.

I used to play "realistic." Then I got taken prisoner, lost everything, and had to start a new game. Over and over and over. Put me off of Mount and Blade until Warband came out, true story. [editline]26th May 2011[/editline] "Save Scumming: Because sometimes, you wish there was a 'game over' screen."
you probably don't like it cuz u bad at da game scrub g3t b3tt3r n00b

If you get taken prisoner you lose something (replaceable) gear and (replaceable) money. At the worst you'll have to spend a week or two of ingame time regaining those forces. Enterprises bring in so much money that nothing is that important.

And getting taken prisoner just makes all of those things worse.

You don't need stats to win tournaments, you just need to be smart
When I started my game the first thing I did was enter a tournament
Yeah I'm getting tired of being imprisoned after getting a largeish elite army and then losing to an undead army of like 238. I'm probably going to start a new game, give myself some money and then try and play because this is ridiculous.
My thoughts on Floris modPack Expanded 2.41a which i just got [b]Pros: Flourescent armour you can see some of the enemies in night time fog from the other side of the battliefield. Good health and safety. Slave drivers also have an armour that looks like blue plasticine so some diversity of the metal armour. Lots of little things Con[b/]s: Too much troops Troop names are in foriegn (france, viking, italy etc) hard to tell what they they. But there is viewable tree in game with all info. The new music sounds shit there was native american music that sounded like Empire total war when I fight mountain bandits? Score 95% Best combination of mods of the decade

I don't bother with Path Finding when it's pointless when you have a huge party with you.
Aren't you cool.
I don't bother with Path Finding when it's pointless when you have a huge party with you.
Not in Blood and Steel. With 4 or so PF I had 7.5 speed with a party of 120 :c00lbert:
what are your guys' total troop count?
About 175 right now. I have tons of elite dudes though, so it costs about 12K a week to pay them. Plus another 2K to maintain the garrison at my castle.
I wish duels were fought on foot.
Every duel I've had was on foot.
what are your guys' total troop count?
67 because that's the most I can have so far
I can have 117. I have 362 units garrisoned at Reyvadin. And like at least 100 at every castle I have.
what are your guys' total troop count?
65 units in total.
