I don't play multiplayer because there isn't a lot of teamwork involved, mount and musket is good though
Usually on 22nd siege the attackers take the back route and only a few people go for the direct approach. But in general, I agree that most people don't have the slightest idea how to be part of a siege.
Been a while since I played on 22nd siege. I play crpg online so my go-to siege server is crpg_na_siege
Not for me, my mouse is really shitty so I have trouble pulling off an upward block, which makes auto quite useful
for SP at least, i havent tried mp with manual..
I suck really hard at upward blocking so I die to overhand attacks all the time but I still enjoy manual more than auto.
On an entirely unrelated note, getting stuck fighting a shitload of the enemy team alone and taking four of them out before they take me down makes me feel like a badass.
This moment is the definition of badass.

Using a shield is very un-badass.

At least he doesn't have 2 like the guy he knocks off the horse.
Comparatively more badass does not a badass make
I wish i had warband
i have the normal one :saddowns:
Warband is definitely worth getting for the multiplayer alone, in my opinion. I hope you bought mount and blade before warband came out or else you got ripped off. Warband has everything the original did plus more.
I ride from horseback in battles except against cavalry armies where I use my spear, I always keep different weapons for different uses, can anyone give me some help on choosing some weapons?
Land battle vs. Infantry
I use a horse and spear (not lance) to get the maximum charge bonus and the armour piercing potential, or should I use a one handed sword to quickly attack many enemies?
Sieges
I use a morningstar to crush through blocks and because swing weapons are better at reaching enemies past your allies, should I be using a different weapon? I was thinking maybe an axe
Land battle vs. cavalry
I dismount and use a shield and spear, I'm pretty happy with that except when the enemy becomes dismounted my spear can be useless if they get too close or have a shield
Land battle vs. mixed army
I use a horse and spear and usually aim for the horse if I'm attacked by cavalry
Polearm axe ALL DAY EVERY DAY
Polearm axe ALL DAY EVERY DAY
I'm not very experienced with not having a shield but I'll give it a try
Practice practice practice!
I'm going to start a new game I think except not on the easiest mode and with autosave (good / bad idea?)
good idea

I find them really unsatisfying to use, along with normal polearms. They never seem to connect and when they do, they do hardly any damage. I love using scimitars on horseback though.
I kinda like saving though in case the game does something silly
If you guys remember my other post with Mount and Musket pics, it was about an event where the british were attacked by outnumbering french forces, resulting in the them losing a fort.
But since then, the british command kept waiting and planning for a counter-attack, wanting revenge. And eventually the moment came, since the french army left the fort,so they attacked. But they didn't attack with overwhelming forces to make sure troops are available to intercept the french army, which was moving to or planning to attack an unknown destination.
Dump of pics goes here:

FYI: The charges up that hill that you can see there are done with the help of the artillery regiment, they shoot and destroy the wooden fence that you can see there, and up the hill there's a brick wall, which they also destroy, thus making a clear way for us to advance.
In the end, we won! (80-90 brits, 40-50 french)

There was another regiment on the british side, though they were charging when the pic was made.

Connects for me precisely when you expect it to and people not in mail I plate I generally 1-shot.
Aaaargh I want to play f&s but the fact that you can't start your faction and it's missing loads of warband features is putting me off until they sort it out
In F&S I can't renounce my vassal-ship to King Jan Kasmir.
What the fuck man?
The devs are really fucking lazy I don't think they plan on improving f&s
thats because f&s is a shit mod
[editline]29th May 2011[/editline]
what you need to pay for
It's not even made by the people who made m&b and warband so i have no idea why i even bothered buying it

You can start your own faction...
You can start your own faction...
Yeah but like the original M&B you can't recruit lords
The npc need to realize that when you fuck with the bull you get the horns
Yeah but like the original M&B you can't recruit lords
I never did anyway
oh my god so game-ruining!!!

Yes master yoda, I apologize master.

Also, there should be like more of a fear factor. Like, when there is only one castle left in their whole faction, and I besiege the castle, they should give up sooner.
Was awarded a town I had no part in capturing
Lost it
Fuck this shit I want it back, took it by force
Was awarded it again
Lost it
aaaaaaaaa
I must say, F&S is really great for me. I like how they've changed some features, and I think it's very fitting that there are not tournaments and you can't marry into families and stuff like that. This isn't the medieval times.
The storylines are great. I am currently doing the Tsar story line, and I think this is the most adventurous game of Mount and Blade I have ever had. I am also really fond of the new features, like the town square (or whatever), where you can deposit money, take a loan and buy handcrafted gear. The fact that fortresses now also can be a lot like towns with marketplaces and taverns and stuff like that is spot on, as well as the fact that your troopers don't automatically get better equipped when they level up. You have to go buy them some better equipment.
Overall, I think it's an excellent game.
