Okay, I have around 600 days played with my current character. I'm a vassal of Sarranid Sultanate and I have conquered the entire Calradia for my faction. The only enemy faction remaining is the Nords and they're currently holding one town. The only reason they're still around is because they made a peace agreement just after I conquered their last castle, so they weren't eliminated. Few ingame days ago they suddenly took over couple of castles and towns and I'm now waiting for a war to break out so I can finish them out for good. By the way, I just downloaded the Diplomacy + OSP mod and it's just amazing.
attack them to cause tension between the two factions
Which do you guys think is the best faction? I personally go for the Nords because huscarls are like friggin' juggernauts.
Rhodoks with their crossbowmen and spear walls.
attack them to cause tension between the two factions
Yeah, I was doing it for awhile, but our factions suddenly made a truce, so now I'll have to do it again.
OSP?
OSP Warband Item Variants
I would like to try the 1866 mod, is it for Warband? A download link would be nice aswell.
Not for Warband, sorry! You can download it here. http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,166156.0.html
I bought this 2 days ago and its one of the best games ever. But in my haste I didn't look at Warband... So now I'm stuck with the original which has less content. Its still amazing though. I love the combat on horse back, riding into a swarm of footmen and swinging at them.
original is still awesome though
Get better armor. Don't do stupid things like rush headfirst before seeing what is waiting for, that's what the troops are for.
It doesn't matter if you're well armored with high HP. I can take out anyone with a point-blank shotgun blast. [editline]30th May 2011[/editline] So, USA and Mexico made peace with each other, so they're off my backs for a while, now I'm focused on the Apaches again. I gathered all of my lords and finally succeded in taking 2 of the forts. Not only that, but I defeated and captured more of the Apache generals, including their leader, while freeing any USA generals that they captured. Now I'm building a jailhouse to put my captured lords in. Things are finally looking up for me. I hope that USA doesn't make peace with the Apaches anytime soon.
I'v been fucking around with cheats for the past couple of hours, and I noticed that if you have "cheatmenu" on, And then go to Camp. You can look through all the items ingame, and ones that are secret (Samurai, Black knight) and you can get the Armour/Weapons from tournaments aswell... Edit: Wait, I just found a flintlock Pistol... Warband by the way...
Wow, I had a 800 person army, and 600 of them decide that excellent morale is too low, commit mutiny against me. So there I am, basically fighting my own army, and lose. I'm now a prisoner to my old army and left with literally nothing. No armor, weapons, food, only my horse. my army is a dick.
Is the Native Expansion for original M&B? If so can I get a link?
How many troops should I have garrisoned in a castle or town so I don't have to babysit it during a war? I had a town but it fell, now I have a castle and intend on keeping this one. I've been swapping out low-level units in the garrison with higher level ones in my party since it's peacetime and I can quickly level people up by taking out bandits and stuff but I don't know how many more I should be adding. It's around 100 right now
I play on like 101% difficulty 24/7 Well except this one fight where I was alone defending a castle against 6400 sarranids, then I turned it down a bit. I mean literally alone too, 1 fit for battle VS 64xx. After turning down the diff. I took down 220 of them, alone. then they took me prisoner.
How do you defend a town against attackers like what happens when you attack a castle? When I attack the actual attackers, it's just a normal battle, and if I wait in the castle (like inside of it on the overview map), nothing happens and they take the castle.
So I got charged with far more money in wages than the menu tells me. For example, the party menu says my wages are 80 bucks, but I get charged 100 bucks in wages. So I have to pay wages for all of my men, even the ones I stationed at one of my forts? Or is this a glitch?
Of course you're going to pay wages for stationed people, you think they work for free just because they work in a castle/town?
I am the benevolent Lord of Swadia who is defending his peaceful little village from the Sarranid hordes. I've recruited so many pages from the cities and made them into Knights/Cavaliers so basically whenever I see a Sarranid army running towards my village to loot and pillage I say to my guys "Well guys time to run over about 120 peasants again." I've also got about 30-40 sharpshooters watching my backs. Also, theres this Paladin in my group who is a complete wrecking ball with his horse with golden armor. Everytime I see him by himself with 20 infantries running themselves against his horse and lance I go "Theres that damn paladin again". The best thing about my group is that I can still afford their 1,900 Denaar upkeep and still have some excess money being made. Native Expansion btw, which is very fun. One of my funnest battles was fighting in the village I own where both armies spawn in a little valley and makes for some hella fun on-foot melee combat. I told my villagers to charge first, and they did surprisingly ok. Once I got the enemies focus on my poor cannon fodder, I mean the farmers I send my knights and sharpshooters in to murder the enemy. Its fun seeing a army who outnumbers you with about 50 guys running away from you. I'm playing on normal damage btw.
Of course you're going to pay wages for stationed people, you think they work for free just because they work in a castle/town?
in the original m&b you dont have to pay for them
in the original m&b you dont have to pay for them
the peasants got smart and are demanding pay now. I told you not to build a school bro
Is there anyway to make battles have 3000 people and more in a battle? They did it in Blood and Steel but I want it for Diplomacy mod.
I'm basically the reason the Nords are winning any battles right now. Currently dominating Swadia and the Vaegers.
I think im going to single handily beat the Rhodoks...
What are the checks that make the AI ask for peace or start a war in Warband unmodded, I've always wondered
just exit it and go back in when they go in
It doesn't say when they go in though, it just says "Under Siege", hell it doesn't even say who is sieging it.
I wonder if I should set battle size to one all the time and just ride around solo dueling armies to death... [editline]30th May 2011[/editline]
It doesn't say when they go in though, it just says "Under Siege", hell it doesn't even say who is sieging it.
There should be a battle happening inside the walls. Cities/Castles can be "under siege" without a battle going on, it just means there is a siege line around the City/Castle.

Yes. It will probably say "City/Castle Name (Troop List) VS "Lord Asshole's Party" (Troop List).
Yes. It will probably say "City/Castle Name (Troop List) VS "Lord Asshole's Party" (Troop List).
Fucking enemy lords, they're nothing but robots who want to take you prisoner and steal your items.
