So I've been planning on making a let's play on M&B Warband, has anyone been done before here on facepunch?
I don't remember one
Warband LP would be pretty long, wouldn't it?
I don't remember one
Alright.
Warband LP would be pretty long, wouldn't it?
It would, I'm currently working on how I'll do it. SSLP but I think I might record a battle every now and then, and each update will be one month at a time. [editline]8th February 2011[/editline] Oh and I'll make some sort of goal, and possibly get some mods to make it funnier for everyone. [editline]8th February 2011[/editline]
Hey guys, I need help. I somehow disabled the text at the bottom left corner of the screen that shows how much damage you've done and who's killed who, and I need to know some way to turn it on. I think it may have had something to do with me pressing backspace while in the dead spectator mode in Blood & Steel.
Afaik that's in options, check it out there.
I look forward to it, so long as its not one of those ones where you wait for posters to decide what you do :v: those take forever and just die due to lack of interest half the time
Oh I'm not going to do that, as you mention they take forever and die due to lack of interest. I'm going to keep a schedule to make sure there comes a constant flow of updates and also have a few updates ready so that I can just copypaste if something comes up that makes it impossible for me to play it.
[editline]8th February 2011[/editline] Afaik that's in options, check it out there.
The problem fixed itself somehow. Also, don't press backspace if you're in spectator mode.
Here you go chaps! BSQ4-9SLX-4QQT-TTDS Free non-steam cd key for Mount and blade : warband.
I keep getting kicked randomly from servers when playing Multiplayer. Any remedies?
I keep getting kicked randomly from servers when playing Multiplayer. Any remedies?
Lots of people are using that key probably, try buying the game. [editline]8th February 2011[/editline] :colbert:
The best remedy is to buy the game, I used the key for one day and then I thought fuck it, I'm paying for a game I've had so much fun with. [editline]9th February 2011[/editline] Oh and I've been looking through the mods, what is the best mod out there gameplay wise?
I don't particularly love the multiplayer, because the close ranged combat is a twitch contest. But the singleplayer is very fun. I usually end up just making my own kingdom because it takes so damn long for my king to give me orders and it takes awhile for the other lords to like you

Not like there were for the original m&b anyway. Blood and steel is decent. Seems to be the most complete warband singleplayer mod. c-rpg and mount and musket for multiplayer mods.
When I get my new PC next week, I'll purchase warband, I already own the original. I'll get into this game xD

:siren: First update bitches :siren: My name is Frederic, and this is my story. I was born the son of Joseph, a sergeant in the swadian army. Like my father and his father before him they followed in the steps of their fathers, and it was expected of me to do the same. So when I became of age, I enrolled and became a sergeant in the swadian army like my father. But I didn't want to be a mere sergeant in an army ; I wanted to lead one myself, and create a kingdom I could call my own. I took my gear and ran away. I took a caravan to the foreign lands of the Khergits, a land I've just heard stories about. I came to the capital city of Tulga, without any money and not knowing anybody. I guess it was easy to see that, and a couple of ruffians tried to take advantage of me. If they only knew who I was. They were all killed with a quick swoop of my battle tested sword. That's when I met a man who saw how capable I was, and asked for my help. He said that the times were dark in this country, bandits and other bad people scoured the land, preying on the weak. They took what they wanted and weren't afraid to kill you if you resisted. I knew something had to be done, and I felt that this man could be an ally, someone who I could trust in a land where I had no friends. I accepted and he paid me 500 denars. He told me to gather a few men from the villages nearby. I set out and went to the village of dashbiga, where 10 men joined forces with me. They mentioned to me that there were another village a couple of kilometers away where I could find more people who would be eager. We went there and another 7 men joined me. We were now 18 men ready to rescue the brother of the merchant. We started to travel to Tulga when we were ambushed by a big group of ruffians. It was a slaughter, my men were not prepared for the horrors of warfare and their steeds crushed them beneath their hooves, and I fought valiently. But it was not enough, and they overwhelmed me. I do not know for certain what happened, but I later woke up on the field of the battle, nothing stolen but the lives of 8 of my men. I searched and found the rest of my men, badly beaten but alive. The ruffians were long gone and I was glad to be alive, but I didn't want to linger there anymore. We quickly made our way to Tulga where the merchant told us where he thought the bandits who captured his brother might be. This time, we were more prepared for what might await us and to my surprise, there were hardly any bandits around. We took them comletely by surprise and we slaughtered them. We found his brother, a bit bruised but overall he was OK. We decided to not stay too long, fearing that they could come back any minute now. The merchant was overjoyed to see his brother still alive, and told me how corrupt the guards were. He said they were the ones behind all this, and asked me for help to kill the captain. He said we would just have to walk the streets to be attacked, so we did so. The guards were no match for us. The merchant and his brother thanked me for the help I had given them and he told me he would bring this up with the king, or Khan as they call it here. He told me he would get a good word in for me, and I thanked him and went on my way. It appeared there were a tournament in the city, and I was eager to earn some more money. I betted all my money on myself and went on to fight, hoping to either make or break. It was a giant success, and I was invited to a feast thrown together by the lord of the city. They had not seen someone who fought so fierce or bravely, and wondered where I was from. They could not believe I were a swadian and feared I was a spy, but I assured them that I were here for personal reasons and not to spy on them. With the money I had earned from the tournament I bought myself a mill and a bakery, and my first steps to make it in this land were made. I would recieve weekly payments from the mill. I traveled to the nearby cities, mustering a small band of men to join me in my adventures. I felt truly alive for the first time in my life, this was what I had been hoping to do my whole life! I felt I had grown as a human being! It was then I met yet another group of ruffians, and I recognized their leader ; He was one of the men responsible for the ambush, I knew it! This time we were prepared however, and I kindly repaid the favour, slaughtering each and every one of his men. My travels brought me to the city of Ichamur, a city slightly larger than Tulga. A tournament was held there too, and once again I spent all my money bidding on me. And once again I won, cashing in on my skills. This time I bought a fine weavery where the craftsmen made the finest silk garments. It would prove to be more profitable than my bakery, and I felt that now my future would be safe, at least for the time being.
Gregah, use Jpeg, bro. Have mercy on my shit internet. The quality looks the same for these pictures and it's a quarter of the size. Also, interesting choice to do a narrative story. It'll be difficult to keep things fresh considering a lot of M&B is running from battle to battle.
I am now a recruit for the 51st Regiment in M&M

Yeah that's something I'm going to have to figure out in terms of making it still be fresh and all that later on, not a lot of things to do really so I'm going to have to be a bit unorthodox and make up things and stuff like that.
i would remove that key from your quote, that is 100% warez you can't go giving people serials to games that cost money, that's piracy
It's not warez. I bought 3 keys. One for me, one for my buddy, and one by mistake. What would be better then playing a game with Facepunch? Also it's legit because you can play multilplayer, and if it was warez wouldn't I have posted more than 1 key?
I am so utterly addicted to cRPG. I was addicted to Mount & Blade for a long time, but cRPG added about 1000 hours to the total time I've played the game. Quite debilitating really.
Althought it's questionable if crpg is still that much different from native. Everyone uses shit armor because of upkeep and many kills are 1 hit kills. Could even argue it's worse because everyone and their mothers use missile weapons.
Used to play C-rpg many hours a day before upkeep hit. Was great fun, now it's just stupid
I am now a recruit for the 51st Regiment in M&M
Good job, this is the best regiment of them all IMO, I have been part of the regiment for some time, though I am still a Cadet :v:
joining a regiment in m&m means you're joining a group of 13 year old that can't play.
joining a regiment in m&m means you're joining a group of 13 year old that can't play.
Not if the minimum age is 15 and it's a good organized regiment.
atleast 13 year old's can listen. 15 year olds think they know it all. I should never have joined a regiment. Fucking kids. Kids shooting and kids commanding. It's almost as if they do it on purpose to troll you, but they really do just suck at commanding. form up right. 5 minutes later people formed up right. Then he moves a couple meter and issues another form right. Then decides you need to form a double line with just 4 people.

I guess you just got accepted in the fail-regiment, which exactly? Also no: to "15 year olds think they know it all.", because everyone here just follow orders, learn to find a good regiment instead of complaining.

The majority of players are mature, and the commanders are all above 20. The rules are tight so there's no fucking around, in line battles nor in trainings. Plus, sometimes after trainings we even go together in some other mods and play together. Also,as Jessey said, the minimum age limit is 15 for applying. Also they don't accept you immediately into the regiment, first you gotta write an application with all the needed info, and wait to be accepted. So if you're a kid and don't seem like a good member you get refused from the start. And if you get accepted and behave like a tard in trainings you'll simply be removed from the regiment.

Personally, I can make a steady profit with over 70,000 gold worth of gear on.
:siren: Second Update :siren: My journeys through the lands of the Khergit people in the early days were tough. It was a country without any laws and only the strong survived. It made the people strong, but poor. It was nothing like my old country, and the followers I had gathered and I were always on the run. It wasn't hard finding able bodies to bolster my army however, people were eager to leave their homes in search for honour and glory. It wasn't long before I nearly a hundred men under my control. The bandits weren't so eager to stalk us anymore, and this was the time it was our time to strike. After our first real victory I walked the fields of the battle. So many had died, but my time working as a field surgeon proved extremely useful, and the casualties were much far more greater on the enemies side than on my side. It was also on that field that I got my first horse. She belonged to the leader of the group we had just annihilated. A quick and agile horse, destined to plow through the plains of this land. It was a completely new way to wage war, horses were in abundance and even the poorest of peasants could afford one. It was nowhere like home, where only the richest could afford one. She would prove to be extremely useful. Her name was Delgernandjil, Great Elegance. I ventured farther and farther away from Tulga and found myself in the city of Narra, a city very close to the borders of my home country. My army had now grown to be quite large and my two enterprises in the other cities would not be enough to sustain the army. So I set up yet another dyework where the finest of silk would be made. The land of the Khergit people were under attack from the Sarranid Sultanate, a people quite alike the khergit people. I felt that I had to make an impression with the lords of this country I now called home, and during my travels near Halmar I saw an ample opportunity to strike. This would be a chance to finally put all my experience together, this kind of warfare the khergit people used was still not something I was used to, but it proved to not be too much of a problem. It was a victory who would be known around the land, and I knew the eyes would now be upon me. Both from the Khergit lords, and the sarranid sultans, as they called themselves.
