What the hell is a great sword, I've never met them in the game before?
It's a two-handed sword, they're everywhere in the game

Oh, right, sorry :v:
I wonder why modmakers keep having this insane loyalty to mbrepository, the site has been shit for years if you want to download faster than 70kb/s (waiting 1.5 hours for a 170mb mod in 2011?)
Especially big mods like cRPG which don't even have alternative mirrors
You know, it really sucks having the Steam version since it's updated to 1.142, can't play any mod in MP until they're updated although in reality 1.142 and 1.134 should work together just fine
SP or MP?
Both. I'm fine with both.
Jesus christ Fire & Sword is so fucking hard.
literally 10 minutes into the game i get buttraped by a bunch of bandits, get taken prisoner, loose just about everything etc
and then i get away, and it just happens again
fuuuuck
Should i buy fire and sword, i remember putting a good two hundred hours into the original mount and blade
Both. I'm fine with both.
Hm. Well, Brytenwalda is very high quality IMO. Blood and Steel could be to your taste depending on what you like. It's got ridiculous fantasy gear in it, but the main focus is raising a large army and controlling them well, and that bit is fun. Know however the Vaegirs > Everything in that mod. For MP, Vikingr is a pretty good mod.

F&S is excellent. It is different from the two other games, but in a good way IMO. However, if you haven't gotten Warband yet, it is like the original only with many more features. If that sounds like something for you, go for that instead.
Should i buy fire and sword, i remember putting a good two hundred hours into the original mount and blade
i like fire and sword, simply for the pimp hats
Been awhile since I played and it appears I forgot how to win siege battles.
How does one win siege battles?
imo, when starting out with F&S it's best if you go to the Swedes. Not join them, but just stay in that area because I never see many bandits around that area. From there you can do quests (deny all "deliver letter" quests) and focus on getting proper armour

Or you could rob a few villages
so I bought the pack during the sale yesterday, and hot damn is this game hard.
So... Since this is the "Mount and Blade" section? I just like to ask the good folks of this forum one question, is Warband worth buying? Im debating it. I have Fire and Sword. And it's hands down one of the most, fun. and addicting games I own.. However, I have some people who say its worth it.. Some who say it isnt, what do you guys think?

Warband is better than Fire and Sword mostly.

Would you know the price on it? I have no acess to Steam at the moment.... But umm, how is it better if I may ask. I heard theres more of a story line to it, correct?

No... Was it really? how much was the on sale version?
I think it was like 4 dollars
I got all three of the games for $12 yesterday.
M&B alone was around 4 bucks, yeah.
Well I finally downloaded Mount and Musket. Is there any noob-friendly Regiments I can join?
I also finally downloaded Mount and Musket. Great fun, community seems nice to. Was on the big official server and people were chatty and friendly - much to the distaste of some 'older' players who kindly said "It is a shame when some of the younger players don't know when to be quiet. I don't want to be spammed with constant rubbish which isn't even related to the game."
Playing Britain always devolved into a game of Protect The Pipe Band. Another cheery player repeatedly told us to "Shut up with the bagpipes they sound like shit".

wait sweden is in the game?
I never got far enough to know, i just got repeatedly buttraped.
Well I know where I am going, I shalt take over sweden, then proceed to take over the rest of europe :science:
Sweden is in the game, ruled by Carl Gustav, I don't know what country the red and green ones are if you look at the area today though.
[editline]5th July 2011[/editline]
I think it is Carl Gustav XII because seeing as he was a great war king that attacked the russians, it seems most likely, I'm not sure about if the time is right though.
This game is so awesome. I recently started playing M&B Warband a few hours ago and I got an army of 20ish Recruits. I got a quest to collect taxes in a town. I went, collected 5,000 Gold in taxes and I totally fucked the mayor over and kept the money :v:
How can I equip my army with horses? Or is it an upgrade once they have gotten enough experience?
[editline]6th July 2011[/editline]
Also how do I make prisoners to my soldiers?
Anyone want to reccomend me mods for this game? For some reason I never find any cool ones.

I just went full Bandit robbing all polish villages
Its quite money making. I also slew some polish vassals because my army of 300 mercenaries crushed then easily.
