You guys have fun with that, I'll keep enjoying being super-champion-dominator. Different tastes, I suppose, but I don't think I should be told my style isn't fun when I've spent a good 100+ hours playing
I played like that for a long time until I got bored of the lack of challenge
Being the badass commander is just cooler somehow
There really isn't any reward in playing the super-champion badass dude.
It's always 'Oh your 10 dudes vs 200 of theirs? Well you're playing on easy so you'll probably kill all of them, yawn'
It actually reminds me of that Role playing game, Exalted.
I kinda suck ass at Mount and Blade, if I played on a difficulty harder than Easy, I'd die facing a party 1/4 my size.
"Alright, we're gonna take this castle, this is going to be a kick-ass fight!"
*Shot by an arrow five seconds into the attack*
I've been playing the Chinese world war 2 mod and I've made an entire village of mine into basically a heavily guarded prison camp with about 12 Japanese officers. Proves them right for trying to invade my communist village.
Almost about to retire my crossbowman in C-rpg, About time, the first time up to 31 is absolute hell.
Yeah, I more meant the blocking in that you need to control what direction you're going to block in. Also, I want to play Dark Mesisah again now. Damnit.
EDIT: Also, anybody know what mod adds in multiple ladders in sieges? That'd be nice in my native game.
Retoast
Fuck yeah, captured a prisoner in Mount & Musket.

Mount and Musket these days in a single post.
"FUCKERS"
The troll
"Fuck yeah captured a prisoner"
Back in the old days before the Waterloo version, there were prisoners almost every other match and people respected each other a load more. Even though it was possible to strip clothes, there were loads less trolls. The moment Waterloo was announced elitisim started to possess the lucky ones who got into a regiment. It was fine none the less, and I made it myself into Waterloo. It was incredible.
After it, MM tumbled into a downwards spiral into a bottomless pit. The French team complained that Napoleon was a naff leader and they accused the Brits of cheating. Then people started making regiments. At first it was three a week for both factions. When MM Prussia was announced there was at least 2 regiments every 2-3 days. After Waterloo was finished me and five people were left to the regiment as I.G wasn't allowed to make it clan exclusive. My regiment had no sodding chance at all. Most of you probably have no idea how awful and pathetic it feels to have something marvelous like a regiment taken away from you because some stuck up, arrogant kid declares himself God emperor of a new regiment.
Donald Mcdonald is the best example of an elitist tit, who somehow manages to go on every day for 6 hours and continue to recruit after having 60 people. To the victors goes the spoils may be true in this case, but he was seriously stuck up and aggressive.
He elected himself for top position in the "regiment council", jesus fucking christ.
My regiment died, I left MM.
I wanted to say this a few times, but I felt I should mention this now.
And if any of you challenge my claim about the prisoners, so help me I will upload the 60 odd pictures I took in the beta.
/rant.
Play some Battlegrounds 2 for Half-Life 2. It isn't exactly the same but the guys hosting those line battles are really fun lads and pretty polite to, although there are always these exceptions.

I heard about that, I was actually thinking of trying it but at the time I MM hadn't yet hit the shitter.
I play for time to time. It's just a pretty basic mod, but you have guns which feel pretty good. Line battles are a bit tricky though.
battlegrounds 2 is funky, you're better off playing mount&musket. if you're having trouble finding a regiment to play with come join the 1st reddit brigade

No, seeing as how you didn't address it to anyone.
Enough of ranting anyway, I don't intend to turn this thread into a flaming cess pit.
Considered getting this game for that Mount and Musket mod, any other I should check out?
Considered getting this game for that Mount and Musket mod, any other I should check out?
Eagle and the Radiant Cross was already mentioned. I also like Knights: The Last Battle. It's rough around the edges, but the custom armor and weapons are pretty well-done.

I've always been a fan of the Artimenner/Lezalit duo. Then again, I usually just edit my game to remove companion squabbles. It's always entertaining later in the game to have an all-companion army decked out in plate armor, running people over with chargers.
How do you remove so that no one is mad at the other?
Why do you all keep talking about the single player? Don't you know that cRPG is the real game?

It's much much better now than when I played it back in beta, but it's still kinda boring.
