How the hell do I make an Uber-trap? The wiki does not tell you how to make the freak trigger for shit. It doesn't even tell you how to make one other else then giving you the layout plan excluding the freak trigger. Why do you even need the nerve gas traps if they will keep on spinning around from the wind traps?

It's kinda hard to explain and my mind is on other things at the moment.
I do know that the nerve gas is meant to keep them sedated so the don't shoot everything. It's a safeguard.

By the way, thanks heavymetal, it helped me understand a lot.

No problem. It may not have step by step instructions but it gives you the basic idea and tells you what you need to make it, which is better than nothing.
Got this game yesterday. I'll play it on weekend since I'll be getting my new joystick today and I'm going to play IL-2 a lot.
This game is the boss. It's a tad bit boring in the beginning, but after you amount a lot of minions, and don't have to wait 5 minutes to build something, the game gets really fun.

The way I do freak traps is just make a small 2x2 room, toss a door and pressure pads in it, get a freak in it and lock the door at level 3.

Directing your freak to said room is true patience testing ordeal in my experience.

I have lots of doors in my base, so I could just lock him into certain sections of my bunker so he could only go in one direction. I mean every single turn I have a door, especially T-sections.
Minions with nothing to do, no job, no needs, nothing, will stand around in random rooms. So as long as there is something at the end of the hallway they will go, since they can't go through the locked doors it coaxes them into going into the room.
I noticed this when I had first made my strongroom on my second island. At that moment besides my corridoors that strongroom was the only real room I had. There were probably 100 minions just standing around in my strongroom just because they either stood around in there or patrolled outside, and there were already minions patrolling.

Good thinking. I never pick that guy so I forgot he could control people.

Well yeah, that's the method I use but it's not perfect.
Did anyone else find the second base unnecessarily big? I have all the rooms I could build and I'm still only using about 50% of the space given.

Yeah, it does seem too big. But that's better than it being too small.
I only used about 80% of the space on island 1.
It's probably about the same amount of space as you got on the first island, only now you have the knowledge of where and how to place specific rooms, and how to make it fit into as small of a space as possible.
Before you just laid out the rooms as you earned the right to build them.

So can't I just try to direct a freak to the door with the pressure pads and as long as the freak keeps walking over setting the windmachine traps they will get stuck there permanently?

That's the jist of it, yeah.
Can someone help me out with this?

This big white box started popping up and blocking my view. I go to try to change the resolution, and the game crashes. Any suggestions?
I found out how to get AA/AF with an ATI card in this without setting every .exe to have AA/AF.
First, download ATI Tray Tools, install it.
Launch it, right click the taskbar icon, go to game profiles, click manage profiles.
Name it Evil Genius, set the .exe path to your Evil Genius .exe.
Check Set 3D to, set it to max quality. Now check Restore previous settings after game end.
Click the save icon, make a desktop shortcut.
Now every time to launch that shortcut it'll launch Evil Genius with AA/AF enabled, and when it exits it'll set it back to application controlled AA/AF. You don't need to make ATI tray tools launch at startup either.
You can do this for other games too, I'm going to use it for SWAT 4.

I figured it out. I had too little money because I paused the game and planned the whole thing out just as I got to the second island. It ended up being that I was in such deficit that the money thing got fucked up and started showing a white box. Fixed it with lots of money cheats.
What's happening to my base?
All my workers take suitcases to the dock and drop them off there. But only about 1 in 10 brings a box back. What the hell is going on? The only thing keeping me alive is money cheats right now.

A briefcase only holds a certain amount of money, so expensive things require multiple trips. (I think)
I had a MAJOR vibe of "Theme Hospital" when I started playing. Anyone else?
No.
What is the code for spawning the henchmen again? Sadly Jubei died on me and I want to revive him. How would I do that?

One quick google later.

Creating Minions (And Henchmen and a lot of other stuff) Through Developer Console
*NOTE: In order to use these codes you MUST enable the Developer Mode.
Open Evil Genius' developer console. Use the codes below in the 'add' syntax. It is done like this:
add [Number of entity] [Entity ID]
Example: If you wanted to make 1 valet you would type in 'add 1 102'
There are many more codes than what is here. They are stored in 'EntShortNames.txt'

Yes... but this bypasses that if I'm not mistaken.
