A solution to him has also been posted countless times. I'll say it again anyway since it's obvious that nobody can read the thread. Replace his bazooka with dual M60's. Problem solved. The mod that does this is in the blasted OP.
Yeah most of the mods don't work smartass. [editline]09:06AM[/editline]
You just click on the enemy and select the enemy and then what you want to do with them (eg kill, knock out, confuse). You could select your henchmen, but the other minions acted on their own accord, unless given orders (which I liked, maybe because it gave me a settlers sort of vibe).
Clarification: RIGHT click the enemies.
I just have my entire damn base on Yellow alert the entire time so the henchmen are always armed.
I would always be on red alert if I could be bothered to remove the horrible noise it makes.
Click the alert button a second time and it stops the siren. Personally I don't like red alert because then workers outside doing their job get distracted by ONE AGENT and all drop what they're doing to kill him, then shit never gets done.
Yeah most of the mods don't work smartass.
Yes they do. I've used them. [editline]12:45PM[/editline]
Although he can be fixed (given duel M60's as stated above) Putting him in the game was a really stupid move by the devs, do they not even test their games?
You're not forced to pick him.
Yes they do. I've used them. [editline]12:45PM[/editline] You're not forced to pick him.
Yeah well mind explaining why the only mods of mine that work is the no rocks mod and increased pop limit? Resolution mod/hack doesn't work, Red Ivan fix doesn't work, Redone doors mod doesn't work. And as far as picking him, no you're not forced but when your choices are a badass russian, a strange southern accented white african weirdo, and a fat mother figure, who're you going to pick?

You didn't follow the instructions. That's not the point.
Yeah, I did follow the instructions. I followed them to the dot. I'm not so stupid that I don't know how to follow fucking instructions. And yes, it is the point. It doesn't matter if you don't have to choose him, he's a bad fucking character. If a character in a game is just plain bad and unuseable it shouldn't be in it or it should be fixed. Adequete testing would have picked this up.

Don't like him? Think he sucks? FIX HIM!
Maybe you need glasses, or maybe you're just illiterate, but I already said the fix doesn't fucking work. All it does is make him hold his bazooka like a bow and arrow and not do anything with it. [editline]04:10PM[/editline] And, oh, right, naturally because they don't work it's my fault right? And it's completely impossible that for some reason which is quite common with most technology it just doesn't work for me? You're such an arrogant ass. I didn't screw anything up, it just doesn't fucking work.

Are you sure you edited the files for Red Ivan correctly?
Yeah, I read through most of the thread and even fixed problems the original maker found that were causing it to not work for him.

You people need to stop bitching, he's not even that bad of a character, I completed the entire game with him. Make a room on the outside, and give it a door set to Lvl 4 security. Keep him in there until the enemy starts landing ass loads of troops, then let him out, and he goes apeshit on all of them.

He shot one missile and then got gunned down and died. :colbert: Didn't even kill 'em.
Oh my fucking god, words can not express how fucking enraged I am right now. I'm at the part where you capture and interrogate the ambassadors and on the minimap, the entire island is red dots. Each one of them a good veteran. They're just walking around my base and none of my people can do anything about it. All the people trying to capture and interrogate the ambassadors are dying. All my new henchmen are either getting killed or walking into my traps. I'm going to go cry now.
So anyone have any good tips for an effective trap to make people leave again? When i played before i never really made any effective traps.
So anyone have any good tips for an effective trap to make people leave again? When i played before i never really made any effective traps.
Electric cannon trap
Electric cannon trap
Is bollocks because it has a loooong charge up time, it attacks your own minions and enemy soldiers shoot it on sight. That means it's only really viable in rooms that stay empty most of the time.
I remember this one trap the would use those fans, and it would spin agents around and around, giving you massive combo points, and killing them with gas chambers or something. The end result was the Agents dying, and you getting a sufficient income to not even have your minions do anything other than missions. Let me try to find it. Sure I lost some workers, but minions are worthless. I can always hire more. [editline]01:33PM[/editline] Argh. How can I make Mariana Mamba fuck off my island. She's been here for ages and won't bugger off. She's getting on my nerves. I know I gotta wait until Island 2 to get rid of her permanently but is there a way to at least maker her leave? [editline]01:46PM[/editline] Woo, she left! About damn time. She's been here for like a week or two. Determined bitch. [editline]01:49PM[/editline] I hope if they ever make a sequel to this game (or someone else makes a game like it but better) they make the interrogations more nasty. I mean, it's funny the first few times, but I'd like to see actual torture, not just a worker doing "Thriller" and smoking a cigarette. lol

Super Agents leave whenever the fuck they wanna leave. Also, I hope that never happens because the charm of this game is how silly and campy it is.
Yeah, you know what? Until you can stop being an arrogant jackass you can go ahead and stop talking to me.
Yeah, you know what? Until you can stop being an arrogant jackass you can go ahead and stop talking to me.
What are you gonna do about it? I'm not breaking any rules.
My guards are always dumb and walk into traps, even with the staff room~
Place loot around the staff room, control centre, and the training room. That will help keep their stats up.
My guards are always dumb and walk into traps, even with the staff room~
Keep your loot items in heavily traveled areas. It'll boost their stats when they walk by and if they're especially low they'll stop to admire. Something I like to do which really helps is make a simple 2x6 alcove in an unused corridor near the entrance of the base (or any other heavily traveled corridor) and put 2 TVs and 2 vending machines there. Helps keep the men alert. I just moved to the second island. At first I was upset because I thought it was smaller, but I got everything here with a lot of leftover space! Looked smaller than it is.
IF there is one thing I hate, it's those damn saboteurs (or whatever they are called) that tunnel to your generators and plant the explosives, blowing up many generators, leaving me without power. When the base is without power everything goes to shit. The only way I have found to stop them is to fill every single square of the generator room, but that often leads to generators becoming unreachable, and therefore, unrepairable.

If you can avoid making badly planned out room layout then this will NEVER happen.

The added space in the second island also helps. I always dedicate one huge room to generators and another one to backup generators.(I think they're Capacitors?, It's been quite a while.)
Yep, they're called Capacitors.
