I heard putting a line of traps outside the generator room (outside the mountain that is, where the wall is) unlinked or not stops sabetuers from getting in.
Alternatively just put the generator room in the middle of the mountain

I had to dig out my copy of the game just because I saw this thread, so much nostalgia.

Right now I only have one, which is SUPPOSED to increase security, but my minions are so retarded they just stand around in that corridor leaving the doors to my security room, my 3 doors into my base, the staff room (with two loot items) and the first checkpoint completely open.
What's the problem with Ivan? He's one of my favorite henchmen.

I concur, also you don't need to wait until the second island to get rid of Mamba, as soon as you have the surgery table if you designate to kill her it'll remove her strength instead which will cause her to be captured, you then interrogate her on the surgery table which will cause her to become fat and thus run away.

Don't have the surgery table/infirmiry chair (I was told it was the infirmiry chair)
My technicians/scientists/whathaveyou never offered anything medical for research.
As far as Ivan, he's fine so long as he's not on your island. He has a nasty habit of blowing everything up regardless of whether or not you're inside though.

No, it won't. I did the mod to get more population and get rid of the rocks mid-game and it didn't screw anything up.
I can't get the population thing to work, it says access is denied when i try to save the edited version.
When i move the file, edit it and then put it back it changes it but my population still doesn't go over 100.
this game is so awesome! i love it so much. i really wish they made a sequel but i know that wont happen =(
Nightlord, there are videos on youtube that walk you through it. but if you forgot to click save in the doc. when you changed it that would also do it.

Are you on Vista? If you are, disable account control and it should work. I think that's it's name anyway.
I've played this. Was fun, but I suck at games like this.
I just used the +$100,000 cheat. I also have to use the airstrike because of the way I build strong rooms, at least one minion always gets stuck inside the strong room, so I have to blow him up.
My friend has been playing this since I gifted it to him, he was addicted, but he spread himself to thin and had 4 guards in every country as soon as he reached the second island, he trained up mercenaries, marksmen and Martial artists to hold the fort, defeated Mamba and built the silo, but eventually the teams of 6 exceptional soldiers overrun his defences and he lost, shame though. He had a really good base design and an eye for good trap combo's.
Bumping an old thread, but it's currently only 50% off on steam, if you haven't bought it yet, I very much recommend it.
are the mods/patches confirmed to work with the steam version or has nobody tried it out yet?
If I recall correctly I was able to install them with the Steam version.

keep him inside a security 4 room with no other exits that noone uses. tell him to go outside and attack when you need him.
if you do this he's one of the best henchmen you can have

I hope EG2 is announced at E3 or at some point this year. Rebellion is updating their facebook game every few months and have said they have plans for an EG2 (they said that 6 months ago) so i hope they are working on it.
Sorry for the bump, but I have the resolution mod installed, when I launch EG, I get to the main menu and I get a D3D error. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on this.
