I don't use abilities too much, I have it set for squad members to automatically use them. Probably why, but oh well.
You're completely missing one of the funnest and most tactical elements of the game.
Wat.
Husks are incredibly easy to kill, even on Insanity. All you have to do is have a squadmember with unstable warp (like Thane or Miranda), one with some kind of area incineration power (either Mordin's incinerate or Zaeed's fire grenade), and one with a throw field (Jacob, Thane, whoever else). You should have at least one of those powers so your squad has all 3 abilities, including you.
I blew through the Reaper IFF mission easily on Insanity just using a simple Unstable Warp-Area Incinerate-Throw Field alternation between powers.
I found husks incredibly easy to take out when I used cryo ammo on them
I found husks incredibly easy to take out when I punched them to death.
I found husks incredibly easy to take out with a shotgun and heavy shockwave.

Husks are easy. Getting rushed by a Krogan with full armour while 5 Vorcha fire at you is a completely different story. :argh:
How about more interesting dialogue from the NPCs you walk by?
Get rid of the armour-shields-barrier system. It completely gimped most of my favourite powers from ME1.
How about more interesting dialogue from the NPCs you walk by?
Make dialogue amongst squadmates occur earlier. I specifically went walking around the citadel with Tali and Garrus to try and hear their convo about elevators and nothing happened. In fact, it took MINUTES to hear any sort of conversation.
I want back the system where you got experience from killing enemies and leveled up that way too, and not the shitty "Get points from missions and random dialogues only" -system that was in ME2.
And the more broad set of skills that was in ME1.

After my last post, I turned off automatic usage and did it manually. I now understand this.
Funnest is also not a word

Well you knew what I meant, might as well be.
But I'm glad you've seen the light. Combining biotic and ammo powers into one ferocious attack is just awesome. Also makes dealing with husks a little easier.
If you do nearly everything you'll have Spectre X available just before you do Virmire.
Really? I did a character on hardened then insanity, 100% playthrough on the hardened and only got close.

It also makes dealing with Collectors much easier because you can tell your squad to unload powers onto them as they fly about looking for a spot to land. Most of the time, your manually fired powers don't fly through the air fast enough to hit them.
- Let the planet scanning process die in a fire and give us more hidden loot on free-roam-able planets.
- I want to be able to get to the other 3 sides of the citadel... being stuck on one side while surrounded by cars and taxis makes no sense.
- Meet the illusive man in person... it sucks having to communicate with him like kimpossible does with that fat guy(???).
- More "I'm commander Shepard and this is my favorite shop on the citadel"
then make it so when used on multiple shops, the owners start to fight.
- moar weapons, less upgrades... the entire game was upgrades that required minerals... I wish I can buy upgrades with credits.

I managed to get them on my insanity run. Starting from Level 0.
Argh don't make threads named stuff like this. I thought there was a ME3 teaser or something :(
Besides, there's already a Mass Effect thread :colbert:
:fuckoff: (Hint: It's a link to Mass Effect Megathread)
I want different endings, ranging from "Reapers succeed" to "Reapers destroyed with heavy casualties" (which'd be the best outcome, since anything better is virtually impossible.)
I just completed Mass Effect 2. I got really pissed off because I couldn't import my save from Mass Effect 1, so a bunch of shit had happened that I didn't want to, like for some reason Wrex was dead and Udina was head of the council.
Also I like Ashley and hope she features more.
Also my plan to get Tali killed worked. The mission had hardly fucking started and the core blew the fuck up and killed her before we'd done shit. It was quite annoying. I had two squaddies that weren't loyal (Tali and Jack), and sadly Mordin and Legion died before I Jack got killed. I felt really bad, I wasn't rooting for Mordin to take a rocket to the face and for some reason the collector swarm took Legion, which was sad because he was my favourite character.
[editline]09:36PM[/editline]
Going to go back to Mass Effect 1 and do that all again and then hopefully import the save right, then try and do a perfect mission in Mass Effect 2 so I don't lose any cool people.
How could you let Legion and Mordin get killed?! They're the best characters in ME2 :(
loyalty missions do sorta feel like side missions so its understandable
But they're detailed and interesting enough to count as main story missions.
Except they really don't have anything to do with the main story.
That's not the point.
I like how Legion is the ugly duckling everywhere you go.
Pretty much every mission has extra dialogue from other characters when you bring Legion with you. I was pleasantly surprised when I took him with me on the Overlord DLC mission and the scientist guy there asked me if Legion would be a problem.

I always have Mordin and Legion with me on every mission.
Morin is interesting with his scientific comments on everything and Legion is just plain awesome with his alien logic.
I'm in a predicament. While I would like to see Dragon Age style choices (I.E there is no "good" or "bad" decisions, there is just your decisions), I'm not sure it would suit ME for what it is.
What? There's no "good" or "bad" decisions in ME either. No matter what alignment you are, you're doing the same thing by attempting to stop the Reapers. Paragon choices are the diplomatic way of handling things and Renegade choices are the militaristic way of handling things. Renegades are far from being a "bad" guy.
That's a good joke.
Recruit-able Blasto the Hanar Spectre anyone?
