Beat Manus on my first try too. I liked how aggressive he was, there was no real chance for healing. Did a ridiculously small amount of damage, though.

SL78, same build as seen in my post above. I'm thinking I'm seriously overleveled, because I can see the bosses being more of a challenge if I didn't do so much damage. Didn't even get to summon Sif (it seemed appropriate for the fight) because by the time I discovered the sign the fight was well underway and someone had placed a soapstone message on top of it.
Man the Tower of Latria is a bitch to navigate, and all these fucking keys I need. I need a GPS. At least I got Fool's Idol so that's something. I still wanna let out whats-his-face, I got Freke out at least.
God, fuck skeletons, honestly.
God, fuck skeletons, honestly.
Just mind the parry stance and don't let them gang up on you.
I just got my Red Eye orb on my new INT character. So I was a bit of generous: Invaded some guy in Anor Londo, and in a friendly manner gave him my Cracked Ones as a gift. He thanked me and I left. So I decided to start pvping and invaded this guy in Artorias armor, after easily killing him I got about 214000 souls! omg, what SL was he?
[sp] linking the fire is the good ending [/sp]
no, no, no. there is no good ending. you have to interpret the endings in your own way, you have to make your own decision. there is no definite good or bad ending.
Oh, okay
I personally see the refusal to ignite the bonfire the good ending.
Playing Demon's Souls. Flamelurker is such a cunt. Why make an enemy who moves and recovers faster than you can, and then make them drain half your fucking stamina with every hit. Christ From were just being sadistic bastards when they made Demon's Souls.
Just got DaS for PS3. Oh, the joys of pyromancy.

If you can't kill him fast enough the crescent falchion from 4-1 does good damage and staggers him because of his vulnerability to magic. Try not to get backed into any corners.
If anyone is on the Xbox 360 tonight, add Knightsolaire and tell me where you're from, I need a new co-op partner.
Neat, got AoTA, can't wait to get my hands in Artorias' armor, it's so awesome.
I personally see the refusal to ignite the bonfire the good ending.
I don't (kinda), considering my character's purpose would be to save the world in its current state. Linking the fire keeps the status quo yes but it also would cure the curse of the undead (until your fire begins to dim, of course, then it happens again), and mankind is saved from that certain doom for the time being. Everything goes on as it was. The dark ending might be the natural way of things, but it definatly seemed like by going with that route you pretty much cause the world to reboot itself/end, you let the curse of the undead take over as the fires dim and eventually go out, and then the dark soul becomes the only thing relevant. This isn't nessicarily bad, because in a way this means that humanity (the dark soul) is now the only deity of the world, so humanity kind of ascends in a way. I didn't like the idea of doing that though because I feel like it pretty much causes the world/soceity as you know it to pretty much go away and cause the next phase of the world to happen. Just sayin'... if I was a human living in society with my ambitions and dreams, it might kind of suck to have some dude cause the age of dark to happen and basically cause society/mankind as you know it to cease being, and instead be something else. I dunno :v: It's kind of like picking the Dark Age ending in Deux Ex - sure you cure the world of tyranny by shutting down the global power and information grid that was being used and manipulated by the people in charge to influence and control the world. Sure you pretty much destroy the AI networks that the people in power used to carry out their manipulative agendas. But you do force the entire world into existing only in a feudal society, pretty much rejecting technology in favor a purely, "uncorruptable" human experience that can't possibly be controlled by the illuminatti. Its ultimate freedom at the cost of losing everything, all the tools people have used, all the technology and jobs developed, society as we know it being thrown away suddenly in favor of establishing small "purely human" communities. In this manner the dark ending for dark souls is very similar to the dark age ending of DX. The fire is a "technology" of sorts that humanity uses, and in a way binds the world together in how it works in its current state. I don't like the idea of throwing away tools because the masters in charge abuse them, and I don't like the idea of forcing a massive speciies-wide change on how society works because its the natural order of things - so to me linking the fire is Humanity taking control over the fire, the "technology" of the gods and the world. You don't solve the curse of the undead, but you don't destroy society as you know it. At the same time, the gods are "in charge" still but instead of Gwyn being in the lead, its the Dark Soul itself (humanity - YOU) that is in control of the fire.

There's no reason to believe the 'curse of the undead' would end by linking the flame.[/sp] Also, why would civilisation go away? That doesn't make any fucking sense.

From what I've read in-game, the curse of the undead seems to be directly linked to the flames going out, and as the fire goes dimmer the undead curse gets worse.

We know hollows existed before Gwyn linked the flame because there are 2 undead cities in the game (Undead Burg/Parish and New Londo). We know Gwyn linking the flame didn't get rid of hollows because they're fucking everywhere. Why would they go away when you link the flame?
