That's because it is, more or less. He uses rofap, I don't. I swapped some vit/end around to compensate for it and I do even more damage now. The damage stats are all correct, though.

Well I beat the 4 kings on a character I've never played on, so I feel accomplished.

havel would be impossible early on if he had sweeping attacks, the only reason he's so easy is that all of his attacks are telegraphed vertical smacks

I'm doing an SL1 Cheap run.
So far I have firebombed the asylum demon the first time you meet him.
I defeated the taurus demon by black firebombing him from the tower, then when he jumps up I climb halfway down the ladder, so he jumps back down, then climb up and fireball him.
I let sunbro and lautrec kill the gargoyles while I sat back and fireballed.
I killed Capra with dung piles.
I kicked lautrec off the cliff.
There are so many cheap possibilities!!!!
i guess gwyn locked him in the watchtower basement and he went hollow there, someone correct me if i'm wrong

I saw something like this but I didn't remember it all so I just completed it in my way, but I don't know what weapon to use, I remember it saying that it should be 20 str and 16 dex but what weapon can I use that needs those stats?

Claymore, Bastard sword, Flamberge, Obsidian greatsword
Falchion
Uchigata, washing pole
Since you're gonna want to +15 and DMB these, they'll do fine for PVP and PVE

Gwyn was trying to protect Havel, Gwyn respected him enough that he locked Havel in the watch tower basement but also turned hollow while doing this.
Gwyn, Artorias, Havel, Ornstein and Smough, alongside Gough and the Lordblade would be such awesome people to converse with, I'd love a short story based around their antics.

I still like to imagine the notion that maybe it's not the real Havel, It's highly unlikely but a man can dream.

Havel hated Seath because he used magic, which Havel considered evil. When Gwyn supported Seath by making him a Duke Havel got quite pissed off and stashed a set of his gear, along with an occult club, in Anor Londo. The description on the Watchtower basement key says Gwyn locked im in the tower.
"Key to the basement of the watchtower in the Undead Burg.
The basement of the watchtower forms a stone cell. There are rumors of a hero turned Hollow who was locked away by a dear friend. For his own good, of course."
It's likely Gwyn discovered Havel's plot to kill the gods and locked him up, Gwyn probably being reluctant to kill a friend and a bishop in the Way of White.
Havel not wearing the ring himself doesn't mean shit. What is more likely, that Havel had his ring on him that he dropped, or he also gave out Dragon Teeth to every one of his followers?

being havel's "legendary great hammer" leads me to think that it was his weapon only, as opposed to the rings which were given to his men

That's where I found my first vagrant too, although it took ~350 hours for me to see one. :v:
Gwyn's death felt so sad, not as sad as Sif's, but still, he simply forgot about everything else and he could only fight and try to keep the fire safe, there is no honor in such a death.

the knight shield is too heavy and has balls stability for it, find a lighter one
also you need to decide on strength or dexterity now so you can focus on putting points into vitality and endurance

Correct me if I'm wrong but there is a strong possibility that it isn't actually Havel himself due to the rings description that his followers actually wore the ring to express their faith in Havel himself and to carry a heavier load. The greatshield description also states the shield and the Dragon Tooth hammer are both "divine heirlooms" meaning they probably belonged to the big man himself at one point. The fact you find all his gear in his stash rather than off the guy in the tower leads me to believe it's not actually him down there.
His followers probably all had greatshields and hammers like his but I think Havels was "legendary" because he didn't wear the ring to wield them.

You're forgetting the wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff. Same reason Dusk has her corpse and gear about 200m away from her and Kirk drops his sword during invasions only to invade with it back later on. Havel could have placed them back there after someone opened his watchtower, or those chests could be from an ancient time before he was locked away.

What really sounds like bullshit to me is that the legendary Havel would be held back by two flimsy wooden doors when he has his dragon tooth and immense strength.
I remember reading an article on a Chinese game forum about Dark Soul's backstory, the article was before the DLC and some speculations are proved wrong by the DLC, the author made a lot of interesting points.
I don't remember all the details of that article, but I remember he compared Gwyn and Artorias with King Arthur and Lancelot. It was an interesting read. It's a shame that the last post the author made was about he had an accident and can't post for some time.
I would make my adjust my stats so I can use Greatsword of Artorias, but it's such a grind.
Is there any place where I can get some souls easy, besides pvp?
