Oh god I had such terrible luck with the gaping dragon. For some reason I couldn't summon other players to help so I had to rely on Lautrec and Solaire. They would both charge the gaping dragon head on and die before we could even make a dent on the boss's health. One time Lautrec had enough smarts to run away, towards me. The dragon intercepted his escape by taking a huge leap in the air and landing right in front of him...and on me. It didn't help either that the merchant decided to stop selling me lightning buffs for no reason.
why no black sorceries?
I still don't have the DLC. I'll switch things around.
you what
That depends on whether or not you have the DLC. You need Griggs to get access to Big Hat later in the game, plus he sells rings and shit. Big Hat used to be the endgame sorcery guy, but now that the DLC's out, Dark Bead and Pursuers kind of filled that roll. So basically...not really. [editline]3rd March 2013[/editline] unless you wanted CMW, in which case yes you made a mistake. reevaluate your build.
What poise break points do you guys roll with? I'm still trying to figure out what one's best for a strength build.
im playing fairly blindly right now so i have no idea what any of that is [editline]3rd March 2013[/editline] well i got the really quiet ring so things are good i guess time to kill more black knights
oh then don't worry about it, it's a complex series of steps that you'd fuck up anyway.
Do you even dragon?
Do you even dragon?
those fucking chicken legs
those fucking chicken legs
I love this armor combination, looks ridiculous. If my character was like, large upper body or whatever it'd be even better. Now I just need to go into newgame+ and get another core of the iron golem or whatever and get a Dragon Bone Fist. Then I shall wear this armor combination and punch crap to death. Best plan.
What poise break points do you guys roll with? I'm still trying to figure out what one's best for a strength build.
53. 77 is pretty hard to get unless you put a ton of points into endurance for heavier armor.
53. 77 is pretty hard to get unless you put a ton of points into endurance for heavier armor.
you can hit 76 with havel arms/legs/eastern chest. 53 is usually plenty, though. I only try for higher poise if I know I'll have to midroll.
nope
MAH NAYM IS JIMINIQUE HOWDY DO THAR
100 hours for me:
So that's what those things are, I've seen at least 3 through-out 150 hours of play.
Drew this fucking ages ago. Not really that great of a drawing, it was a quick 30 minute doodle I did to use as my Steam avatar.
Do the butcher people in the early area of the Depths respawn? I just got killed by a ninja butcher by rolling against a column. also capri-sun demon was gaaay but it only took 2 attempts Also which is better, Black Knight Sword or Titanite Catch Pole? Or is it just preference?
No, the butchers don't respawn.
gaping dragon can go fuck itself
...you're joking, right? You don't even have to try to win against that boss. Just get out of his way when he charges, attack his back, lather, rinse, repeat.
gaping dragon can go fuck itself
I thought that the fight was a joke when I fought him... Ridiculously easy.
How's my character look so far http://mmdks.com/1bpu I swap between Cloranthy, DWGR and Wolf Ring depending on situation. Not sure what I should replace Toxic Mist with yet, I just keep it there because I haven't found any pyromancy to be very useful apart from Power Within. [editline]3rd March 2013[/editline]
It looks easy. Videos make him look easy. By his moveset from what I've seen he SHOULD be easy. but then I only had one estus left and it focused solaire to death which was not fun [editline]3rd March 2013[/editline] also i got cursed on the way to it because i made a wrong turn fuck these frog things
He's actually harder to fight with Solaire
It looks easy. Videos make him look easy. Then when it charges and stops for several seconds, go wild. Repeat. You shouldn't get hit once.

When it's on all fours it is very fast but turns very slow (not at all), strafe away when it charges and attack it from the side or the back.
okay how do i lift curses getting one shotted by gaping dragon just because i dodged the wrong direction and have no health isnt fun
Go buy a purging stone from Oswald in the bell tower.
Go buy a purging stone from Oswald in the bell tower.
You can also buy them from the scary undead lady in the aqueduct (more expensive) or get them as random drops from [sp]the clams in Crystal Cave or Ash Lake (a.k.a. the seafood menace)[/sp] in case Oswald is dead or hostile. [editline]3rd March 2013[/editline] Also, Halberd+15 makes me happy.
I created another character to rush the Darkwraith covenant while staying in a somewhat minimal level, dear god the Zweihander is fun.

I don't like using RoFaP and Havel's, but I had to compensate for low vit and end.
Beat the Four Kings on my first try. That wasn't as difficult as I'd expected.
I think the undead lady sells them at a higher price?
Yes, that's what I said. 3000 vs 1000 per unit if I'm not mistaken. Until Ornstein and Smough are killed, buying from the undead lady may be more desirable despite the price becuase she's right between Firelink and the Depths, while Oswald is all the way over the belltower which is a dead end. But it's up to the customer to make a sensible, informed purchase.
