This is true, the issue is turrets. While yes, turret does scale off AP as well on a weird formula that i honestly have no fucking clue how it works (80 AD and AP leads to 95 damage and such, you can probably look it up on league wiki), it scales much better off AD. I guess you could get lich bane if you wanted to splitpush with AP, but you won't get that "holy shit 90% health" spear.

nah, smurfs are extremely common at lower levels

they'll get less common past level 20 or so i'd assume
