Nice bug, open internet browser, go to youtube, load a video, then close one of the peoples chats who are talking to you. Nice crash right there.
I'm gonna try it. I hope the VGUI-Editor works, I like when my chat window is 90% chat area.

Pros:
Looks cool. I like it better than the default

Friends list looks a bit fucked. It uses the same tga as the main menu so there's not much I can do.

To install, extract the tgas to [Program Files]/Steam/Graphics. Back up the old ones first unless you're stupid

Looks more modern, but looks a bit like some sort of Spotify/iTunes/music player application.

If you go to the 'resource' folder in your steam directory, you can edit the layout. It's a bit of a pain to figure out at first. I still don't completely get how I would edit certain things

This is the purpose of betas. Valve is a repuatable company, you know they'll listen to the community.
I would use the beta more but it crashes or freezes so often for me :S
