You wouldve expected that they tested how it responds on a couple of games right, especially new games like mw2 that get played a lot, seeing as every single mw2 owner that has opted for the beta has this issue. :350:

It's an anomaly, would you expect some fancy UI changes to cause a random uninstall of certain games that are installed?
I just got a gift which didn't show me an install prompt and it didn't appear in my games list. I tried a steam restart and now 70% of my games list has disappeared.
I know this is a beta, but this is a royal screwup.

Thats just the thing, they are not uninstalled, they are there in my steam folder. And they must have dont something to trigger this, things dont happen without someone programming it to do so.

Just for everyone saying "Valve is" that's incorrect. VALVe are not just one person, but masses of people, therefore you say "VALVe are the company". Most people don't say this correctly because of common English and it's wrong if you say "Valve are awesome" in the sense meaning a actual water valve or whatever.
