It's not using Chrome, it's using the same rendering engine as Chrome (and Safari). It's open source and called Webkit.

I'm not a fan of it personally. Not only does it need a bit more polish behind the scenes, the design needs more work too.

I preferred how simple it was before, there's just too much shit in stupid places now.

Why do I keep crashing. During TF2, steam crashed about ~2 times.

Other than it being a little laggy, I like it a whole lot.

I like it. Would have been nice if they suggested categories for my games though, so I didn't have to go through labelling everything 'FPS' or 'Strategy' or whatever.

new UI looks MUCH better like the new sounds too, but they seem a little too similar to other sounds on my computer and they should put the (installed) (uninstalled) dividers back, just fading text looks worse imo. nvm got the games list sorted like before, just wish that was the default.

Another thread based around "CHANGE IS BAD! I FEAR CHANGE!". Look, it's going to happen some day that your precious STEAM UI would change, and I'm glad it is. I like this new way, and haven't had much issues that something from a [highlight]BETA[/highlight] wouldn't cause. Stop your fucking bitching. Valve will fix what's wrong with it in terms of processing power, and will probably allow any of you to upload a custom UI, as they always have, to let you make it more your own, or even more nostalgic. Again, stop fucking acting like every god damn change is out to get you. I'm tired of "OH NO SHIT'S CHANGING THE WORLDS OUT TO GET ME I FEAR CHANGE" posts. Also, how the fuck does this look bad? It is a BETA after all.
