Hah, yeah. This closed beta is the closest thing to an alpha test that I have ever been in. I've been in a number of closed betas but this one takes the cake for the beta-y feel. Not knocking it, of course, since it is a closed beta. Anyone expecting this game to even be released this year should brace themselves for disappointment unless the devs have something crazy up their sleeve.

Is that maxed graphics? Because if so, it looks really bad graphicswise. I know its in beta so that opinion is just on the beta.

Currently the game is really badly optimized. I can't max the graphics on this machine, and it maxes BF3. You need a really powerful computer to max the graphics in this game, so most likely that isn't the highest. and yeah, the game is really thrown together and beta-ey right now. It's still pretty early closed beta.

I think the dev's already have a lot of the game done, well large parts. They are slowly releasing it into the closed beta, so they can pay attention to ALL bugs, and not just mayor ones. And since people can only play a very select amount of game atm, they make sure this part of game is a good as it gets before they let us test more. A year ago they had a version of this game wich you saw the dev's cooping against city invasion. It looked pretty solid. Though, we haven't seen a single bit of it on the servers, that doesnt mean it's not even near completion, it just means they won't let us test yet. But I do agree with you, I think this game would do better if they would take time for everything, and at this pace it will be Q1/Q2 2013 before anything solid comes out. I could be wrong tho, mabye they hit us with a mayor update in a month or 2.

They had to reset the server after it because it's bugged as hell and didn't reset the event.

People are saying performance increase if you update your Nvidia drivers with the new drivers.

The fact is some of us have been waiting literally years to get a chance to play, so you can imagine when suddenly it becomes accessible people like me are going to be all over it, even if it's just a small taste.

I got 2 invites, I would REALLY like a[B][I][U] guild wars 2 beta key[/U][/I][/B], but that ain't gonna happen, so people send me PMs and i will decide who gets what, kind of a douche way to get rid of these invites, but whatever, if your lucky!

Nothing like that in the beta. Looks hell of a lot better than the beta too.

So is it PvE or PvP?

It has PvE free roam and you can enter PvP matches

Oh wait i've been with this site since May 09 2011, lol no beta invite since then and now? What do you have to do because being signed up obviously doesn't cut it.

You have to participate in the community i.e making posts in the forums.
