So I love the game (it even runs on my crappy laptop and even the lowest settings don't look too bad if you put textures to max). Only problems I have is... 1. Sweet christ the ping lag. My character is rubber banding almost constantly. Not massive banding (like small jumping around) but it isnt just me according to other people ingame. 2. I am stuck on the get silicate crystals mission or something like that. I found one red rock that gave me one crystal but no more will spawn and I don't know what to do. Also, I would love to give everyone codes, but I just got my account today. If I get any codes though ill put them up if my friends who would play the game don't want them.

Yeah I thought it marked the small area it would be in. I hovered around the general area and they were spread all over the place. [editline]10th August 2012[/editline] Haha the AI broke and like no enemies will attack me unless I provoke them. Then I got disconnected and now I cannot reconnect. They must be restarting the servers or something.

Face the big town. and go to your left. Follow teh river. About 20 rocks spawn there. For the ping lag, well firefall has gotten very populat again due to the new update, so yeah lots 'o lag

No worries about the server lag, we're currently stuck in the north america server from all over the world, which is also crowded as fuck, but they are about to open a EU server, aren't they? The one thing that bothered me is the more narrow selection of face features in this patch.

I hope they give us the option to redo our appearance at some point

they removed heaps of the appearance customisation so there'll doubtless be a barber shop or something where we can get the more crazy options

Ah this game is pretty awesome. Decided to play with the Dreadnaught frame for now. There is still loads of stuff I don't understand, there didn't seem to be much of a tutorial. I like the dump truck animation for when you do a crash report. Also I tried doing some thumping near the starting area, to get the sylicate for the starter mission and I was getting barely any per run. Should I just have been searching for a more lucrative area?

So it turns out thumping right against the Melding is the best thing ever, there's usually 84% coralite or silicate and most of the enemies that come to you will give no less than 50xp, going up to these friggin giant worm things that you get 250xp for killing

Weren't they supposed to send out a whole bunch of invites when the patch came around? Have they done that yet... orrr.... EDIT: Never mind, I should have just checked the forums.

So I only just started playing and I really just have starter stuff. If I came and grouped up with you and we thumped near the melding, would I still be helpful? [editline]10th August 2012[/editline] Oh wow, so I did one PvP game as the Dreadnaught and did okayish, but I felt like I did terrible. I just watched the sneak peak to the Dreadnaught changes and realised I'm playing him wrong.

I think I read somewhere that as long as you like signed into the forums like once a day your chances would be higher because it would flag you as active or something. Not sure if it was true though. I couldn't find this thread anymore for some reason. The game isn't enjoyable for me anymore right now. It's really laggy, slow and sluggish. It was perfectly fine before the milestone update though.

I'm not having any lag issues except when I end up in a bugged instance. Apparently there is a hotfix today that fixes a lot of the obvious bugs like the AI bug.

Is there a way to bind a command to alt? My friend basically can't play the game as it's his jump key.
