Ever since the milestone update, the game became unplayable for me. It's slow, sluggish and laggy. Even simply running forward is stuttery. I checked in-game with /showfps and /showping, FPS is fairly stable around 60 FPS, and my ping is around 160 (which is fairly normal for connecting to servers in the US).

[/QUOTE] The GUI took 1-3minutes to load every single time i opened a new window. I was trying to do the starter quest for constructing an MPU, and because of the lag it took over 10 minutes to update the NPC with the information that I actually crafted the MPU and it should tell me what to do next. What's the point in giving out all of these keys if you have more beta testers than your servers can handle? Your beta testers can't find/submit bugs very well if it takes hours to do a single quest, unless their goal is to stress test it, but really they could've just had an open-play weekend to see how the server faired. This was the first time I played, and I tried to submit any bugs that I saw in the 2 hours I tried to play with the lag, but I guess i'll have to come back at a later point in time when the server isn't crippled by people trying to grind without testing.

Haha, so I left everything downloading overnight which all went a bit faster than expected. My ISP changed over my plan today after we upgraded it on the weekend, which gives me another 200Gb to use in less than 2 weeks now, and it means I can play again. But once they open up guilds or armies or whatever they're calling them, should we set one up?

I just put this in chat now every time someone complains about lag. "The Shared Information Network (SIN) is experiencing technical difficulties. Please remain calm while our Techs try to resolve the issue. Thank you."

So it turns out 1600,550 (aka the MPU you gotta defend for that one quest) is glitched to shit and is constantly spawning bugs, now that people have caught on to how great it is for exp farming there's always people all over it

Got like 70k exp there in 2 hours. If you put thumper there it doubles the fun. I fought my first Warbringer yesterday. It didn't help that it was lagging like crazy so it was impossible to avoid damage half the time. There was also someone thumping on top of a mountain where the wildlife couldn't get to it, so they were all running around in the valley where we were trying to fight all these chosen. We got wiped twice but eventually managed to get it done. To be honest I was expecting more of a reward than just 200 crystite though. It seems like the warbringers are really easy for assault to fight, but not so much for Dreadnaughts or Biotechs (we didn't have any engineers or recons). I was a dreadnaught and it seemed impossible to actually help with taking down the generator, because you can't get close without being pretty much instantly killed and you're gun isn't nearly accurate enough to do any damage. It was alright once an assault took down the generator though, then I could just turret mode and shoot at the Warbringer until the shield goes straight back up. [editline]14th August 2012[/editline] Can't wait for an EU server really. My ping is only 170 but some people were saying they get between 200-800.

It's still a bit boring, other than adding twisters, the new missions and melding thumping all they did was change things up

I had tons of fun simply running around and thumping a bit before the update. It was fun for a surprisingly long time, considering thumping was about the only thing to do, and since the world was fairly small. Really, if they didn't do any missions at all, I would be perfectly fine with it if they just expanded the world, crafting systems and so on.
