It's not a bug. It's taking advantage of a price change.
If they banned us for this they'd have to ban everyone who bought a Leopard in order to sell it for bonus credits when it goes from tier 4 to 5 and gets its price raised (it's the only tier-switching light tank that will get you profit this way)

Buying the Luchs before the patch hits is also gonna get you some profit since the price raising.
Only about 30k profit or so, but still profit.

I think shots just clip through the tubes, you do damage if you hit the cupola.
