that's decent for my very first match in that tank.
Always assuming that the HE shell investment pays out, I have some buying decisions to make, and would appreciate some punchers' input. All are researched.
I play only randoms, so I'm not concerned with what is taken to/effective in clan wars.
TDs - I have no T10 TDs so would like to get 2 of 4 of the following:-
Object 268
T110E3
T110E4
JPE100
The 268 is top of my list and will definately get it. E3 or E4 ? Jp seems a bit slow but hard hitting, maybe not my favourite style for a TD (didn't enjoy the T95).
I have the BatChat, but will probably get 2 of 3 of the following:-
M48 Patton
T62A
E50M
I loved the gun depression on the M46 Patton, and was much better at playing it than the T54. The E50 was good fun, but the M version seems a bit of a copycat with better stats. It's tough to leave one out.
Have T110E5, IS7,IS4,Maus, so not sure I need either of these:-
E100
AMX50B
Both of these seem a bit lacklustre. E100 needs the premium shells to be effective. AMX seems like a slower BatChat with more hp and I'm grinding the second US line which ends in an auto-loading heavy.
Your thoughts appreciated.
62A is an amazing tank. Great camo, really nice gun, great turret armor, quick; it's more a MBT than a medium. Really, its only down side is the lack of gun depression.
The E-100's magic side skirts eat everything, and with gold for credits, needing premium ammo isn't all that bad. Although I used to run with just AP, and it was still a fine tank.
The 50B is nice, but everything I hear is that the new US heavy is better.
Driver crashes are really starting to annoy me, I've got a sneaking suspicion it's my PSU starting to fail due to it happening with my old AMD card and now my new Nvidia Card but it only really happens when I play WoT.

are you using the 310 drivers?
Given that I'm already planning on grinding up the American heavy line (got my T29 at the moment), would it be worth working towards the Tiger or the Panther? I'm 50/50 on getting either, so...
are you using the 310 drivers?
I have, I've also tried the 314 driver but I'm currently using the 306.97 to avoid the tech tree crash. All three drivers have been giving me the issue.
Tiger leads to a respectable if underbalanced line of heavies. E75 is almost unarguably the best t9 heavy.
Panther leads to a nerfbatted E50 and the entire line is made of ammoracks.

I'm mostly working towards the T110E5, in case I ever find myself in CWs, although I'm quite happy with the T29 for the American line. The ST-I isn't a very pleasant tier 9 heavy to drive, so the E-75 looks promising.
Tiger line it is. Anything worth knowing about driving the higher tier German tanks?

The ST-1 line isn't an easy grind, but the IS3/IS8/IS7 line is fun. Not as fun as the T110E5 line, but still fun.
Tiger isn't easy to play, but very rewarding if you know how. Great top gun, though remember that it wasn't fun before getting it. best played as a close support tank and angle at 30 dgrees at all times and you will be surprised how well it can do. It's flat front plates are easy to pen by most of what it meets unless angled.
Tiger II and E75 are great at their tiers and fairly similar. Very bouncy. Hide large lower front plate. Move if you see someone aiming at your cupola. Carry fire extinguisher (fires from pen of LFP).
E100 looks a bit of a let down after the E75 (haven't played it). Going from the beauty to the beast.

From 'On the Record'
In 8.4, the price for 83mm High-Explosive HE Mk.3 shells will quadruple (already confirmed as 8.4 is live on RU server). Now it costs 85 credit per shell, in 8.4 it will cost 260 silver per shell. Which means if you buy one for 85 now, you can sell it in 8.4 for 130, generating 45 credits of pure income. You can buy shells for guns you don't own in the store.
8.4 will come to EU server on Wednesday (6.3.) and to NA server on Thursday (7.3.) - at least that's the rumor.
E-100 would probably be the first high tier tank I'd own with a respectable Fuck You cannon on it, and I have no intention of going up the IS line of tanks, past the IS-3 for Champion TCs... which, even then, I don't enjoy too much. My AMX 50 100 works much better in that role, I've found.
I'm certainly looking towards getting the Tiger II and E-75, since both seem like quite respectable heavies with a different play style to what I'm used to.
This game got boring,it's a giant grindfest
This game got boring,it's a giant grindfest
Really all games exploit the human desire to progress. WG doesn't force us to grind, they just know we will. It keeps us playing for longer, and the longer we play the more money we spend.
Depressing but true.

What gave it away, the astronomical amounts of XP required to get the high tiers? The miniscule xp gain per battle? Not to mention credit gain?

268 is definitely a good choice. The difference between the E3 and E4 is that the E4 has a turret and is faster, but also significantly less armor. In other words, the T30 is pretty similar to the T110E4 and the T95 to the T110E3 (as you might expect). The T110E3 is definitely faster than the T95, and has the same frontal armor. In the end it's your personal preference between the two playstyles. I would not recommend the JPE100.
The T-62A is probably the best tier 10 medium overall, with great camo and mobility, but from what I hear, sometimes it can be a little hard to carry pubs with it. M48A1 isn't too good in my opinion, but it's decent at brawling. E-50M has good accuracy and can ram everything.
The E-100 is an okay tank (or better) if you use premium shells and know how to play it (see: Orkel). Outside of CW, AMX50B suffers from a problem that many other French tanks have: people see a big, unarmored pinata of xp and credits, and shoot at it first. Also, the T57 is pretty much better in every important way.

If it wasn't for the fact that I'm dead set on completing the entire French tree of tanks, I'd have abandoned working towards the 50 120 and started up the American autoloader line... but even now, I'm seriously considering getting past the M7 and T21, just because that fucking T71 is fantastic.

I think my problem is that I daily double all lines that are not complete, so I change tank styles every other game. If I just stuck to the T71 I think I would have been better at it.

No, you get less money back. Like, you sell a tank for 1mil, buy shells with it, get ~1,5mil back and then rebuy the tank for 2mil (you sell it for 50%). You lose 0,5mil

Had this mad idea a while back that i wanted all Tier 9 tanks as well as Tier 10. Binned that idea and sold the T9s so I could buy more shellzzzzzzzzZ.
Keep coming up against the daily tank sell limit though. 5 more to sell tonight.

Object 268
T110E4 (the E3 seems fairly similar to the 268 in some ways)
M48 Patton (love good gun depression)
T62A (hate bad gun depression, but nice gun, mobility and can bounce a bit - also just finished the T34-1 and loved it - seems similar characteristics at higher level)
I just lost a 95% chance win match.
on the contrary, I won a 26% chance game
with most of my team being below average
most of the enemy above, and they had two unicums
just lost a 75% win chance.
Pahaha some guy called Hellenios on the enemy team starts insulting my eff and battles because I killed him
'omg cumpets 1k battles no comment'
'playing tier 8 at 1k battles haha retard'
'lol retard 1k efficiency'
checked him out
Efficiency Rating: 1,138 (Average)
lellel, dont think he had place to insult my shittery
- new "superheavy" tank class - not certain, but if it comes, most superheavies will be re-classified today's heavies (Maus, E-100) rather than new tanks (SS: the only other nation with superheavies that comes to my mind is Japan)
- SerB states he doesn't hate German tanks, only idiots
- the "camo" zone appears where the crown of the fallen tree is, its shape is a simplified shape of the crown
- during very long queue times (during least populated hours), sometimes it happens a vehicle gets dropped into a battle it normally wouldn't drop into (MM spread is ignored)
- devs make special "combat maps" for internal purposes, where areas of intensive fighting are shown
- Leopard 1 will not use HESH
- IS-2, KV-1S and VK3601 - there is no special mechanism that would make them ricochet more
- regarding battles filled with tanks of one tier: Storm states this doesn't happen too often and doesn't consider it a problem
- Lowe and M6A2E1 won't get better MM spread
- Tank in tall grass doesn't get any camo bonus, neither does a tank that is mostly hidden and only a part of the turret looks out or partially hidden behind an object
- "hardcore" mode has been abandoned altogether
- Panzer IV Ausf.K ("Panter IV with Schmalturm and sloped frontal armor") is not planned
- if you see some account with the name you want, which played 42 battles and last time logged in one year ago, you can't do anything, such an account counts as active, support won't help you
- new garage filters planned
- currently, both open and city maps are developed
- separate statistics for damage done when lit by you - not planned
- 8.4 introduced a bug with the display of amount of criticals in post-battle statistics, it's just a display bug - the real amount of crits has not changed

- new garage filters planned
It's about time.
0% winrate today with 11 battles
because fuck you crumpets, thats why
So apparantley the L/70 on my VK3601H has decided to go fuck physics, because i somehow managed to torch a KV1S by hitting the tracks.
I'm going to sell my VK4502A, I made a huge mistake going up the Maus line the moment I started playing and dislike all the tanks in that line. Being tiger P, Vk3001P all I dislike.
It's about time.
isn't the T95 technically a super heavy tank?
Dont play germans, play russians or americans
