You have been granted the speed and manouverability (even with stock engine, you feel as if your black prince lost half the lard it had) to roam the map and pick LOOONG range encounters, and snipe.
With binocs on, you have nominal view range of 500m, which seriously confuses the shit out of blind IS-3 fucks who you will be needling into before they spot you at all.
Don't go short range unless aboslutely necessary necessary, and ironically, when you have to go short range, consider facehugging. Your Achiless heel is your lower glacis, which is thickest thing ever, while being full of delicious ammorack.
If you hulldown or hide behind a wreck, you will be surprisingly sturdy, as your UFP is stronger than King Tiger's, but on the other side, keep on mind your upgraded turret ain't that hard and tier 8s+ have chance of penetrating it frontally, tier 9 big guns will go just clean through your mantlet or elsewhere.
The most ideal situation is when you are outside of the enemy spotting range and snipe them from faaaar away.
This all applies once you get the Turret and the 20 pounder btw. Until then just repent your sins and enjoy Serb's dick so deep up your butt that you can taste him in your mouth.

I actually want to know this too.
Last time i tried to get into it it said auto-login session expired.
Then i put my login details in and it says they're incorrect.
Why's that?
Oh, and another (possibly dumb) question: I know that the reason some tanks remain invisible, despite being spotted, is because of Bigworld's limited render range... but after recently playing a bit of the French arty line, I've noticed it renders tanks well past whatever the normal limit is.
What the fuck is up with that? Is it because the SPG god-view uses a different rendering system, or what?

Uhh, that's how it works? When your in artillery, the render box is centered around your view point, not fixed on your tank. Otherwise artillery would be limited to like 500m, which would really make their 1000m+ range quite pointless overkill.

If I recall correctly, if you're registered on more than one server with the same email address, they randomly pick one of the accounts and the other(s) isn't transferred to the test server. So, have any alt accounts on other servers?

Ahah, thanks for that. I was wondering just how they managed to get tanks to render at longer ranges than I thought was possible, and that explains it perfectly.
As for playing arty, I'm only going up the french SPG line because I want to complete their entire tech tree... and also because it's nice to return the favor of death from the sky to random asshole pubbies.

If I wasn't intending to get the batchat 155 for clan wars, I wouldn't even touch artillery. It literally is easy mode. After about 30 battles (which while not a large sample, 25 were played stock, or stock outside tracks) I have a 60% win ratio. It literally is easy mode if you can figure out which tanks are cruical to the game balance. Even if you only deal 500 damage to the cruical tank at the crucial time, its far more effective than doing 2000 throughout the match.

I played a single match this morning. Did over 5k damage with my GW Tiger, one shotting at least 3 tanks (one of them an E-100... poor fuck). I hit an AMX 13 90 going full speed with a direct hit, as well as tracking a pair of TDs (704 and JT) with splash, enabling a lone T-44 to finish them off. It felt like a good game but I just felt so dirty for doing that to people. All I can say is anyone who thinks arty is hard is A)autistic or B)blind.

I think it's actually plausible that XVM gives more of a benefit than people think. I tend to go for high ranking players first when possible, as they tend to be more aggressive and will try to flank or kill arty. Most other players are too dumb to understand the importance of either.

It's a fun pubstomp tank but don't expect any clan to rip your arms off to get you with one.
In CW it's played on SOME maps in case of the clan being POOR AND DESPERATE.
