Still can't see any servers, not sure why.
I see the AI is just as ridiculous and aimbot-y as ARMA 2's AI... instantly launches a grenade at you and hit you square in the face at 200m. :v:

Same here, I've updated Caged Bear like six hundred times and yet I still see a bunch of servers running the shitty broken old one.
If I have to re-do the entire file submission process I'm going to be rather butt irritated.

Sometimes AI don't like to hold a proper convoy but that's the nature of Arma AI. I'm looking for a fix.

Basically a bunch of trucks and civs fall from the sky into the water. Four of the trucks and civs are playable i'll make a video of it later or something.

I should compile a list of the things I have learned about Arma over the years. A list I wish I had when I started scripting, and sometimes a list I had now.
IMO helis have way too much friction. Tried landing the KA-60 on the runway at 50, 70, 100 and 130 km/h and all but 50 km/h landings damaged the shit out of it, not sure if it's because of the practically instant stop causing a nose-dive. With the MH-9, it was possible to land at ~80 km/h without damage but it came to a complete stop within a second or so. They also seem ridiculous in terms of acceleration and lift.

I don't even know how to script or when to begin.
A few of my friends do and they just send me stuff to play with for feedback.
Is there anything special I have to do to get TrackIR to work in the alpha?
It recognizes it but doesn't do anything.

First testing is done, Taggart'll replace crates with ones that include everything ever, and Explosive Specialist(from the Fourth Dimension) Faulkner takes fucking 6 shots to kill.

Would an Athlon II X4 635 and an HD5770 be able to run Arma 3 decently? I'm tempted to buy it but don't have the scratch to up my rig right now.
would anyone be interested in a coop mission where everyone spawns as civilians with no weapons in agia marina and we have to work our way through enemy opfor to get to the southern tip of the island and escape?

i've already set up and tested some random patrols and civilian ai's that get shot by the opfor that patrol through the streets, it's scary as fuck hearing all those gunshots and hear civilians scream

I have a 5770 and one of the oldest i7 CPUs and I can play the game on all high + some ultra settings and draw distance at about 2400m
I know the i7 is a lot stronger than any Athlon II, but I think you should still be able to handle it at medium settings at least. I've also heard a few reports that if you turn the draw distance and all the settings to minimum then even something that's little more than an office computer with some shit graphics card thrown in can run it at (arguably) playable speeds. So I think your setup will be alright.

Oh my god this is a HUGE improvement over Arma 2 in performance. Did the Infantry showcase and it ran smooth as fucking butter whilst looking fantastic while Arma2 couldn't manage any of that. This is waifu material
Dammit arma scripting, all i want to do is end the mission if a player in a group linked to a trigger is wearing a helmet whose class name I already know; this should be easy. And yet I've been here for an hour trying to get this to work.

Do save as Multiplayer Mission in the Editor. Now host. That should package the script with it.

Yeah, I complained about this earlier. Ground friction is immense and the helicopters don't seem to have that much inertia anymore, giving them more acceleration and lift.
All the populated Australian servers are bloody wasteland.

Top Right button will switch the editor to have the same UI as Arma 2's
