I loved it, especially those bits when the Darkness is so strong you can actually see it blowing around you, gives you a real "Oh shit what's gonna happen" feeling, then a relaxing feeling when everything goes "normal" dark. The [sp]concert[/sp] owned so damn hard. Ending was pretty damn confusing, though. Also, that bit where [sp]the Darkness magically gets the ability to shut out sunlight[/sp] was pretty annoying.
A lot of people are who hate this game are butthurt PC gamers who never played the game. It's sad.
Not everyone have Xbox 360's... :eng99: I only have my PC and my PS3..
no pc version fuck it [editline]04:41PM[/editline]
A lot of people are who hate this game are butthurt PC gamers who never played the game. It's sad.
it's a shooter though it'd be better on pc. third person and third person and even top down shooters are all better on PC than any console (maybe wii for third/topdown), you're retarded if you disagree [editline]04:42PM[/editline] then again i don't actually hate the game i hate microsoft for stopping the pc version to promote the 360.
This game is freaking amazing, As reptitive as it might seem at times the story alone somehow made it awesome for me, And the ROCK GODS OF ASGARD :P along with the music generally makes it awesome.
This game reminds me more of the recent Alone in the Dark game more than it does Max Payne. But eh.
The game is pretty amazing. I've only completed chapter 3 but I like it so far. *I'll only play this late night and only when I know someone will not be calling on me for any reason; which is the only reason I've not beat it yet.*
From what I understand, it's basically Stephen King - The Game.
Sounds like someone simply watched Zero Punctuation and left it at that.
I'm just going to say it; this game should have been a lot better.
I haven't played this game, but reading the description I noticed one thing that really bugs me: when game developers don't want to license names of actual weapons so they just use generic terms to describe them. Not really a huge deal, but it's kindof annoying; like in Left 4 Dead.
Making my way through episode two. This game is fucking amazing. I always pine for the good ol' days of gaming, the 16- to 64-bit era, because I remember games being a lot more about gameplay and fun and less about graphics and other modern day focusses, but every once in a while a game comes along that wouldn't have been possible in those days and it just blows me away, this being one of them. Remedy is right up there with my favourite game developers. I'm sick of people saying "Oh, it's not for PC, I won't get it." Yes, the PC's good, but the Xbox is good too, and in my opinion it was perfect the way it was, on the Xbox. Don't say "It sucks because it's not on PC" unless you've actually played it, and it's great. And whoever said "It's a shooter, it'd be better on PC", it doesn't have the core of a shooter. It has the core of a game that wants to tell a story, and uses shooting as a means of telling it. I completely love this game. Pretty much my favorite thing is the soundtrack. Oh god, Poets of the Fall/Old Gods of Asgard, yes.
I actually prefer gaming on a console just because there's no bullshit involving settings/resolutions, etc. The only thing I hate on consoles is first person shooters. Nothing compares to the precision and customizability you get with a keyboard and mouse.
So should I rent this or Heavy Rain?
Get Heavy Rain. What an amazing experience.
I'm sorry, and I don't mean to offend anyone, but I could not force myself to like this game. Anybody remember Alone in the Dark? Yeah... pretty much the same game. However, it is one of those really weird instances where a movie or book would definitely be entertaining, am i right?
This game was really good, but they could have given more effort into the lip syncing on the characters given it was being developed for 6 years. [sp]This concert at the Farm Kicked ass.[/sp]
This game is fucking awesome. that's all there is to say, it does what it wanted to do, which is convey a horrorstory unlike usual games. [sp]how often to you battle darkness itself? that's the difference... darkness is often utilised in other games, but here... darkness will rape you.[/sp] somehow reminds me of "heart of darkness" i'm feeling tempted to do a re-run. It was just such an epic game.
I absolutely loved this game. Such a fantastic atmosphere. On the other hand, sometimes the narration got a little annoying. It tended to take the challenge away from certain areas. "That boat was imposing, almost like a battering ram." Thanks for pretty much telling me what to do.
if you played Max Payne, then this should be nothing new, Max did this throughout both games.

Tempted to buy this, is it worth it's current price or shall I wait?
