They fix all red rings no matter when you bought it, as long as you didn't void the warranty.
E74 is caused by the HSIO bus on the GPU. Send your console back to MS for a replacement one if you are still covered under the 3 years extended warrenty, or try and reflow the GPU [b]BY A PROFESSIONAL[/b] if not.

Wrong. The MFR date on the back of the console must be under three years counting from the current date
cover the back of the fans.

Don't worry, RRoDs are a standard 360 feature. Just send it in to Microsoft, pay the fee, and you'll be playing again once it comes back from it's standard repair procedure.
