SPUF is acting like massive kids.Crying and shit.Feels bad, man.
Are you being serious? PC gamers are the minority and most of them are never pleased. Why would you cater to the picky minority instead of the large accepting majority?
ignorance is bliss, i suppose
Actually, it might just be the US. It's not showing up at all on PSN in Canada, even though I thought that the Canadian PSN and US PSN were one in the same. The only thing even showing up on the store for it is a single trailer. I would laugh if they pulled the "Localizing Languages" excuse for Canada as well.
Hey man, it's tough having to go through all the dialogue and add in the "Eh"'s and "Aboot"'s needed for you Canadians.
So who here is still going to play it? I'm still trying to look for PC players to play with.
So who here is still going to play it? I'm still trying to look for PC players to play with.
Although I'm annoyed with the delay, I'm not going to request a refund. With that said, I'm going to need to find people to play with as well. If you so desire, I can be a substitute for one of those ghastly bots that you may have to play with.

That guy deserved it, he was being a self-righteous asshole. He bought a preorder without a specified release date. The devs owe him nothing other than the game on release. Obviously they should attempt to make a reasonable release date, but just because they're a week or two overdue doesn't mean you should be cancelling preorders, let alone having massive tearies over it, or being a complete cunt to the developers who are probably actually stressed as fuck because they can't get their product out as fast as possible (for whatever reason that is). People wouldn't pull this shit with VALVe, and they shouldn't pull this shit on a dev that's much less experienced. Just because they don't tell them every little detail of whats going on behind the scenes doesn't mean they're doing jack shit. There's probably some huge issue they're fixing up right fucking now, which people would throw a huge tantrum at if the game was released with whatever issue it is still ingame. Some gamers these days are fucking embarassing, they complain about a buggy release, they complain about a late release. They can't have their cake and eat it too, sometimes the game will be late, sometimes it will be buggy, you have to bear through it sometimes, and the result can sometimes surprise you. You want fucking evidence? Magicka. Buggy as fuck on release, amazing indie game. TF2. 10 million years late, brilliant game. Wasn't anywhere near perfect on release. Minecraft. Continually missing deadlines, but always improving. People need to stop fucking judging games before they get a chance to play them, or even the developers a chance to fix issues.
Honestly, I'm only pissed at the dev for going with SOE as publisher.
I just pre-purchased this on steam and got the most jibberish confirmation email sent to me, well was empty but from who it was from ""Steam StoreReturn-Path:Reply-To:X-Steam-Message-Type: Credit Card Purchase Receipt......."etc Instead of my normal "Thank you for your Purchase".

Overkill hasn't released a game, Magicka actually came out on release, and was corrected. Payday will not even be close to perfect on release, fun yes I'm sure, but perfect, no. Minecraft is also out, and is continually patched, slowly yes. Bottom line is, if this bug was that huge then Overkill wouldn't already be working on DLC for you to buy, it's not being tested any longer, they've already admitted they only sent it once for testing near the original release date. Whether or not it's Overkill's or Sony's fault doesn't matter, they should at least have decent enough PR to explain the situation better, not piss people off more. Somebody lied somewhere, and they need to at least step up and take the blame. They have probably lost 1 in every 3rd preorder by now.
Nothing of value to the community of the game was lost from the loss of those preorders.
Nothing of value to the community of the game was lost from the loss of those preorders.
Ok now you're just being dumb. People can cancel pre-orders for any god damn reason they please, and a lot of them are cancelling because Overkill pulled the rug out from under everyone twice, and both times it was the day before release. They have been deliberately misleading (vague thread title saying RELEASE DATE CONFIRMED: OCTOBER 18th or something like that... they deleted it after they got caught lying because it was the USA PSN release date only) and have been working on DLC for some time now. They haven't even released the game yet and DLC is already in the works. Then they top it off with some of the worst PR I've ever seen in my life. People are mad at Overkill and Overkill has done nothing but earn it. If they cancel their pre-orders, I totally get it. BEGINNERS GUIDE TO PR: When a guy says he's going to cancel his order, tell him you're sorry he feels that way and ask him if there's anything you can do to change his mind. Alternatively, say nothing. But don't insult them... you're just asking for it then. Look at Wargaming (the World of Tanks devs) and you'll see a culture of insulting their customers (like seriously telling them to go play Barbie Online or Tetris if they don't like certain features). It's not working for them.
Yeah, pretty much. One of the first rules of business is that the customer is alright right, even if your personal ethic doesn't necessarily believe it. A happy customer will keep buying products from you, you lose a sale and you may have lost their business for good.

http://www.1up.com/do/blogEntry?bId=9089852 A character description was released for each of the four characters. Now that I actually know something about them, I actually care about the characters now! EDIT: There seems to be some interesting similarities to actors we know. Hoxton looks a lot like Christian Bale: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/7/picrpn.jpg/ While Dallas looks a lot like Deniro: http://www.1up.com/media/03/9/2/2/lg/770.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LHtKaN5tWI0/ThPD4G3plrI/AAAAAAAAAOM/ntrUi5-UEcU/s1600/Heat%2BRobert%2BDe%2BNiro%2BMichael%2BMann%2BAl%2BPacino.jpg Cool stuff. :D
It's out on PSN if you guys didn't know already and there is a demo. Edit: Oh god I'm so late.

Nonetheless, gonna play this when it comes out, I won't cancel my preorder over some stupid shit like "oh hurr not on time not worth dosh"
Played the demo and it seems pretty decent, definitely worth trying out if you can. Waiting for the PC version before I think about buying though.
Just played the demo, and holy crap is it amazing. I only played it once, but that was enough to know I'll be playing HOOOOOURS beyond hours on this game. And honestly, the aiming only took me 4 minutes to get used to on the PS3. After that... it was actually FUN to not have aim assist, unlike every other shooter out there. It makes things intense! I can already tell though, that this game is going to be 10 times more fun on the PC. ESPECIALLY on overkill. It just seems so fit for the mouse and keyboard...

They have apologized for part of their problem though. Honestly I'll be picking it up at a later time more than likely.

We should have it tomorrow. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2187540
We should have it tomorrow. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2187540
Fuck yeah
Considering that they were only sort of aiming for a Friday release, this honestly surprises me. And it's nice to actually have a definite release date now.
I wonder why SOE is taking so long to put out a press release, but at least it's finally coming out. What concerns me, is that we probably are going to get this stuff or every patch now :S

My face when I realize tomorrow I'm getting off work early and considering the commute, I'll be home ~20 minutes earlier than the game launches. Yes. YES!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS [editline]20th October 2011[/editline]
More confirmation: http://twitter.com/#!/OverkillSoftw1
You mean to tell me this shit with 3 or 4 tweets (Honestly can't tell because it looks like one got duplicated) and terrible spelling is their official twitter?
