I just beat heat street on overkill today by sprinting backwards :/
Are all the bonuses passive after you unlock them, as in can you switch to another class and still get the other's bonuses?

Tell me your secrets. Please. I've been attempting to beat Heat Street on Overkill MANY MANY times.
Urgh, this is like the first day since it came out that I haven't played Skyrim. (That I've had time to play video games at all, that is.)
Currently level 51 or 52 and counting. My appreciation for the game is rapidly approaching addiction.

I don't want rap in my professional heist game.
I'm only level 21 and I see an open lobby for a match and I go in to see the host at level 111 or something.
I get nervous and leave because I think either he'll think I suck dick and kick me or i'll be a huge burden on the team

I'm glad you associate all rap with black people. Racist.
Glad you associate all non lovers of rap as nerds
[sp]Also i'm black myself so its impossible for me to be a racist[/sp]

Rep isn't terribly indicative of skill. I've seen players in the teens that play better than, like, rep 60s.
If you assume everyone has an equal skill (no point in thinking every third guy is better) the bonus from rep leads to the conclusion that it's more likely that a high rep i better.
I'm rather partial to the Diamond Heist soundtrack.

Anyone wanna hit me up, add me on steam

SR3's trailer for the song fit so much better....
Playing this game makes me think... an Inception game made in this fashion would be amazing. Same idea, but with more rotating hallways and whatnot. :v:
Does your Rank count toward making people surrender? I'm late 30's, early 40's, and my friend is early 80's. And on not one, but three occasions today have I tried to make someone surrender, and they ignore me for several seconds, but instantly comply when she orders them to surrender.
I don't think so, I play with some people with their rep level at 5-9 and they can make people surrender just as easily as I can.
Rank has no effect on surrendering. You've just got to damage them a bit first. With bank guards and the guards in Diamond Heist, a single pistol shot or melee will be enough to discourage them.
So, I just had the single most amazing heist ever. I was with three other people all under rank 15 (two rank 14s and a rank 4, I think?) and we had just completed First World Bank on normal. The host then selected Diamond Heist on hard (which I'd never completed) and I basically resigned myself to losing, but stuck around to see how things would play out anyways. As soon as we started, we were detected.
I started giving orders -- groups of two, stick together, splitting floor duties, taking hostages, shooting cameras, etc -- and they actually listened. Like, that has never happened for me before. Normally everyone just fucks off by themselves and gets killed immediately. So we're working by the skin of our teeth through the first assault, trying to get the codes and just generally hanging on by our fingertips. The assault ends at about the same time we get the codes and the objective to find the CFO starts.
It goes pretty smoothly for a while, with no assault going on, but as we're waiting for Bain to negotiate, the second assault starts. Two teammates are immediately downed by cloakers, and the third is tased so now I'm freaking out. Somehow I manage to take out the taser in like two seconds, and I manage to revive one guy but the other is taken into custody. We hole up around the roof and again barely survive the assault. Fortunately, I had gotten everyone to take hostages earlier so there's hostages to trade.
As the assault is reaching its end, one of my two remaining teammates is downed and taken into custody. Two of us left and still a bit to go. Just as the assault ends, my remaining teammate is taken into custody by another cloaker. (I fucking hate those guys.) So now it's just me, but we've got three hostages so I hold out hope. I'm gingerly working my way toward the first hostage, mopping up the assault wave, and free him. The second one appears right next to me so he's an easy save as well.
As I'm freeing him, though, Bain tells me there's 30 seconds until the next assault. And the last hostage I need to free is allllll the way on the other side of the building. I run like fuck with Bain counting down, and JUST make it to him in time. Rearmed and healed, we hole up again and wait for Mr. Garnet's son to show face.
When he does, I send two people to go get him and me and a teammate head down to the safe. The assault draws to a brief, convenient close but Bain immediately heralds another. Just as that assault starts, we get the real codes and my partner and I rush in and grab everything. The other two get pinned down trying to get to us, and it looks rather dire.
We agree to just make a break for it and hope for the best. My partner and I make it to Bain, waiting in the helicopter, but the other two are seemingly doomed. One of them goes down and I figure that's it. Just as that happens, though, Bain chickens off and says to wait a bit. (FUCK YOU, BAIN.) Through some miracle, however, the other team gets back on their feet and come sprinting out the roof door towards our position, with about half a billion SWAT on their tails. Coming through the chokepoint, we slaughter the lot of them. :v:
Finally, Bain gets back and we're all escorted to safety.
TL;DR I completed Diamond Heist for the first time, with a rank 4, and two rank 14s, none of which had even attempted it before. TEAMWORK, FUCK YEAH.

To be honest, I find Payday makes people cooperate just because of how the game feels. I've wanted to go all rambo and stuff before, being kinda experienced, but I can never draw myself to do it. I feel like I'm part of something bigger, a team. That if I did that, I'd be letting more than just myself down. That's how it's always felt to me and it's just stuck since my very first round.
Has anyone got the FXAA plugin to work with this game?
Every time I try it, any version of it, the game just crashes on start up.
FUCK! I nearly beat diamond heist on hard, without sounding alarm, without trading anyone from custody and without killing any civilians. I get all the diamonds, run to the helipad when Bain just had took of. He never came back to the same spot anymore. I waited about 5 times for him when my bot team got overwhelmed. I could have gotten about 7000k. FUCK.

I can't disable more than 2 boxes max (I did that once) without getting spotted.
I am absolute shit at Diamond Heist. No wonder people just tell me to wait in a corner somewhere.
