I already know about that. Doesn't stop me from being terrible.
I already know about that. Doesn't stop me from being terrible.
Just try sprinting around, thats sometimes the best solution. The guards won't notice you a lot of the time unless their flashlight sweeps across you.

As long as it's very short (and you don't bump them) you can do some dumb shit.
Just try sprinting around, thats sometimes the best solution. The guards won't notice you a lot of the time unless their flashlight sweeps across you.
This. Sound doesn't matter, oddly enough... you can actually be 5 feet in front of them, and still be able to run away undetected. Just run your ass off!
I never managed to steal the diamond. Is it overkill only?
I heard this is like L4D but only robbing a bank instead of killing zombies. Any truth behind this?
I heard this is like L4D but only robbing a bank instead of killing zombies. Any truth behind this?
It's like Left 4 Dead mated with Killing Floor, but with Cops. [editline]2nd December 2011[/editline] The biggest similarity to Left 4 Dead include "horde" attacks, dubbed Police Assaults, in which dozens of SWAT attempt to storm your position Hollywood style (that includes jumping through windows, out of elevator shafts, and across rooftops, etc). Oh, and Specialists, who come in 4 forms; Cloaker, Shield, Taser, and Bulldozer. The Cloaker is a Spec Ops agent who can one-hit anyone near him, the Shield has a bulletproof shield and requires someone to flank him, the Taser has can neutralise a player until killed or the player is incapacitated, and the Bulldozer wears an EOD Blast Suit and carries a Shotgun.
I heard this is like L4D but only robbing a bank instead of killing zombies. Any truth behind this?
A lot of truth, actually. It takes a ton of inspiration from Left 4 Dead in terms of mechanics. It actually does a few things better than Left 4 Dead as well, if you ask me. Objective randomization is more noticeable than the one or two switched props in L4D, the dynamic audio is handled better (music changes to fit the situation, and character voices become more desperate in assaults), and I feel in some ways that it encourages teamwork more seamlessly; L4D requires teamwork not because multiple people are needed to kill the zombies, but because the special infected can instantly take all control away from you. In Payday, you're forced to stick together more because the cops put up too much of a fight to handle alone.
Son of a bitch, this game is addictive.
FUCK! I nearly beat diamond heist on hard, without sounding alarm, without trading anyone from custody and without killing any civilians. I get all the diamonds, run to the helipad when Bain just had took of. He never came back to the same spot anymore. I waited about 5 times for him when my bot team got overwhelmed. I could have gotten about 7000k. FUCK.
I tried again, and i made it! Didn't sound alarm, took all diamonds, didn't get killed and i played with bots. I ranked up 5 times :unsmith: [editline]3rd December 2011[/editline]
This. So I finally made it to the Vault without triggering any alarms, entered the codes, they still don't work. What did I do wrong? I assumed you have to get there without setting off the alarms.
So I finally made it to the Vault without triggering any alarms, entered the codes, they still don't work. What did I do wrong? I assumed you have to get there without setting off the alarms.
It's random. If you're on Overkill you have a chance to get in without setting off the alarms. However if it does trigger the alarm, most times the CFO will trigger Mr. Garnet to give you the codes instead of his son, lessening your time spent defending. But again, that's a chance too. TL;DR: Diamond Heist on Overkill is very dynamic, given you disabled all alarms without being detected.
Beat Diamond Heist on Hard without even playing it before. 1st part we got caught but managed to complete every objective. I leveled up like 4 times after we beat it.
Does anybody else want mod tools for this game really badly? I'd love to take a whack at making my own custom heists.
I am thoroughly convinced that FBI only surrender to high level players. [editline]3rd December 2011[/editline] I just can't get them to anymore. I can shoot him, punch him, hold a shotgun 2 feet from his head, they do not surrender.
Mr. Someguy, shoot them with a pistol right in the chest before they get the chance to shoot you and then press F. Works everytime for me.
;33555506']Mr. Someguy, shoot them with a pistol right in the chest before they get the chance to shoot you and then press F. Works everytime for me.
Doesn't work.
Is it during an assault? I'm rank 30, and I have no trouble with getting them to surrender. As long as they are alone that is.
No, it's not. Not even a Security Guard will surrender during Assault. [editline]3rd December 2011[/editline] As ridiculous as it is, Heavy SWAT are easier to arrest than FBI Agents.

finally actually got into this game, i bought it a month ago and played it like twice it's way more fun now that i actually unlocked quite a few weapons, the m308 being my favorite
Nintendo Gay you should add me so we can play :v:
M308 is pretty much the best weapon. Crazy damage, incredible accuracy. Its only real competition is the Brenner, which is awesome for laying down covering fire.
Nintendo Gay you should add me so we can play :v:
sure i suppose, won't play much longer tonight tho [editline]4th December 2011[/editline]
M308 is pretty much the best weapon. The M308 is horrid. I can't do jack with it. Not enough ammo and rate of fire. The carbine is the best one.
it gets way better after you get the first accuracy, recoil and damage upgrade for it
Speaking of which, there's going to be a gaming expo in my city. I'm going in as Wolf. And I will scream my fucking lungs out if I so much as spot a Sam fischer :v:
says i can't invite you mr someguy
Strange, I'll add you then.
What is the replyability of this game like compared to L4D2?
