Ever since the update I keep crashing to desktop on start up.
Hurgh, this patch makes it sound like it makes it even harder. Considering the cops already had the accuracy of aimbots and could headshot you with a shotgun from 1000 meters while sprinting, that could be bad.
I'll have to try it out, though.
They're actually much less accurate now. Before you couldn't stand on a car for 2 seconds without going down. Now I can stand on the car and fire my rifle at them and not get hit nearly as much, being able to take down several before having to get down.
[editline]9th December 2011[/editline]
Also I noticed cops are now even less willing to surrender than before, and not only that might even feign surrender (though I hope that was just a bug).
I can now shoot a Heavy SWAT in the visor with the Semi-Automatic rifle and he still won't surrender (assuming he even survives that), whereas before a bodyshot and some shouting did the trick. Same with the Shotgun, which seems to have changed. When I first got it, a body shot and some shouting would make them quit. Then I got a damage buff and killed any Heavy in one hit, so it became less viable. Now they don't only stomach a direct hit, but they refuse to surrender afterward as well.
As for feigning surrender, I punted a Light SWAT officer to the ground and shouted for him to give up. He said "Be cool man!" (which means he's going to give up), only to stand up, aim at me and begin walking away from me (like they do before they open fire), so I had to shoot him down.
New update gave me quite a performance boost, from 60 fps on auto settings (before patch) too maxing with max aa at 120fps.

You have to shout at him a second time after he says that, otherwise they'll do what you just described. Think of it as double-tap but instead double-shout.
Always worked for me.
Oh and, presents act in a weird way. Everyone can see the present at one spot, but every team member gets to pick it up. As in, it doesn't disappear if some guy gets it first. Noticed it when Simkas said "oh hey a present" and was looking at the same spot as I picked up mine.
Santa masks? Time to engage desperately search for presents mode. I haven't used that mode since I was 7.

Huh, odd.
Actually now that I think about, I've also encountered some police members saying their surrender line, then just calmly getting back up and shooting me in the face. Even after I've shouted at them more than a Dragonborn.

Yeah I noticed a better framefrate.
This game is like Kane and Lynch 2 except good.
I wish they'd alter Heat Street though, it's kind of ridiculous.
We have a small roadblock, then an assault, then a checkpoint, which becomes an assault once you clear it, then you move up and there's another assault, then on your way back out another assault, then you go up to the street with another checkpoint assault, then another assault, then the final assault.
Heat Street does not give you a fucking break, and what's worse is all the people you are fighting are far away and you cannot move up, so basically you're being starved of ammunition until the assault ends and the cops stop spawning. This is especially ridiculous because the cops are already there before the assault and once you clear them, more come.
Most of the time I lose simply because I've depleted all my ammunition, because all my enemies are bunched up behind some vans down the road, and I cannot get more.
[editline]9th December 2011[/editline]
Personally I wish there was more instances of police arriving on scene the same time you do. Like instead of SWAT Vans everywhere you just happen to be headed, they will pull up when you start going down that road, then the Assault begins and the back doors fling open and release SWAT. Helicopters may help to replenish their numbers to avoid the Vans having the 'clown car effect' and additional SWAT can just spawn off screen around corners if the Vans + Heli isn't enough.

Not.... at all. Kane and Lynch 2 has a waaaaaaaaay different multiplayer feel. For one... instead of it being about co-op, you basically get to trader/grief the people your doing the heist with.
But hey.. speaking of which, I'ma play some of that now!

Toothbrush for the T-Rex mask.
Gameplay wise, I don't see too much of a difference with this patch. Heat Street is still impossible, Panic Room is still the easiest.
I think it looks a bit nicer, though. I cranked all the graphics settings all the way up.

I bet there is a specific reason that it's called 'Heat Street'

It's just un-fun, though. Whenever a lobby switches to Heat Street, I just leave. It is literally pretty much impossible. There is no fun in being sniped by pistol-wielding cops from a few hundred yards.
Green Bridge is about the same way during the escape sequence. Actually worse at times since the Assault is endless.

Lobby? There are dedicated servers in this game, right?
heat street really isn't that hard lol
Lobby? There are dedicated servers in this game, right?
I don't think so. Not that there's really a need, either, considering it's only a four-player co-op game. It's got some ridiculously good lag compensation as well, since literally the only thing that lag seems to effect is the ability to get cops to surrender. Everything else is perfect, no matter the host.

Yes, it is. I've beaten it a few times only by sheer luck in terms of assault timing.
on what difficulty

How useful is the sharpshooters crew bonus?
Edit:Also i found some more presents, In green bridge its on the top of the tower and in panic room its in the door you blow up at the end.
on what difficulty
Hard. Overkill I've attempted a few times, but I'm reasonably certain that it actually IS impossible unless everyone is 145.

None of the crew bonuses are really that noticeable. Sharpshooters has an incredibly minute effect. Still, every bit helps.
I don't like the new masks. The beef masks aren't goofy enough and they stand out too much, the mostly white masks give out a sense of union, of cooperation, or organization. Except for the santa mask, the mummy mask and the dinosaur mask I don't really like 'em.

I love the Santa mask for it's huge contrast with the game's athmosphere.
"Santa Claus is coming to town to give bullets to the skull and diamonds for himself!"
Also my friend hinted that the toothbrush was a reference to something.
Anybody know what?
i just bought this game and it's pretty sweet. i just finished first world bank and the soundtrack reminds me of heat
