i accidentally stopped my friend from getting that intimidating achievement i shot the swat guy he tried to cuff
Use a stock Reinbeck (upgraded will kill them) or any Locomotive 12 G, these have by far the highest success rate for me. If not those, try the Bronco .44 or M308, those too have a fairly high success rate. 3-4 shots from an AMCAR or Brenner may also work, but are significantly less effective. Anything else is useless. [editline]29th December 2011[/editline]
Front lobby has 4, drill area has 2, cafeteria has 3, the hallway upstairs has 2. After the drill, that first lobby area should have 5 (if you count the one as soon as you walk in) and the vault area has 3. I am almost 100% positive I got the numbers right, but I am going off memory. If I had the time I'd make a guide to their exact locations but I don't :(
Nah that's not totally correct. The Drill Area has 3 (2 in the offices, one on the upper wall). But I only know of 2 in the Cafe. One on the upper wall, and one in the Offices. Where's the last?
False Alarm. Apparently I do know where all the cameras are, but there is a bug where Bain doesn't say when they've all been destroyed, leading me to think there was one more super-hidden somewhere.
I'm not sure if it just me, but this game has gotten really stale. From the first few moments I've played Payday, I never really liked the gunplay. I just feel no satisfaction from killing at all. I'm more into doing objectives. Keeping the drills in check, taking out the cameras, keep tagging after Matt's ass. Doing things quick and clean. But Overkill keep throwing theses fucking assault waves at me to a ridiculous point. I'd love to try out the intensity of the harder difficulties, but it's no fun camping for 20 minutes fighting coppers on overkill (which is what happened). You could get stuck on Heat Street forever. By the time the assault wave and by the time you clear the lawmen in sight, another fucking assault wave will be rolling in. Fuck that. I've enjoyed myself with Payday. Bought it for 2 dollars, played it for about 35 hours and reached level 80. I believe it was a good deal overall. But I think I've reached my "fun" peak with this game, which is unfortunate, because only recently a couple of good friends got it. I'm definitely picking up the OST though.
Get a friend and kick ass some more.
Dont worry, Taser's will do that for you!
Speaking for Tasers i once got tased and i heard the character say "DON'T TASE ME BRO" :pwn:
i'm thinking of buying this but i'm not sure If i can run it.
Taking cops hostage are best done with the Crosskill .45. The fact that it does small damage to some soldiers can get them to give up faster and easily. I've took two heavy SWAT soldiers hostage in Diamond Heist the other day when using the Crosskill.
No? 1 shot from my .45 kills everything except heavies and specials. What you do is you hit then with your gun then order them to surrender.
Wow, playing this game with a full group on mic is unbelievably fun.

Also, for the cafeteria, there is one on the ground floor and two overlooking the room from the second floor.
There's actually 4 in the Vault Area. Two on the pillars, one between the security/thermite doorway and one above the vault door.
I'm not sure if it just me, but this game has gotten really stale. Have you tried out the different weapons for one that suits you? With that said. New heists are hopefully just around the corner. There's a massive discussion on whether to make it free, paid, or partly free (ala KF) here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2322621 My take on it: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=28043990&postcount=92 and http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=28055583&postcount=99
I like the way KF did things. All purchased DLC was optional, but everyone got the expansion/content DLCs. I bought all the KF DLC because I love the game and really like the way Tripwire does business... even if I do hate how fucking long it takes to level up in that game.
Sometimes the popo screams "EOC!". What's it mean?
I don't remember hearing them say that, but given the nature of the game, it could mean Emergency Operations Center. [editline]5th January 2012[/editline] That doesn't really make sense without context though. Maybe they're shouting "EOD!", which would mean the Bulldozer, as he's dressed in an EOD Blast Suit. [editline]5th January 2012[/editline] Of course for all we know it could also just be gibberish like the SWAT Van that says "SUPORTAL". :v:

I'd love to see something like vs. mode in L4D, where one team could play as the special police units.
I don't remember hearing them say that, but given the nature of the game, it could mean Emergency Operations Center.
I'd put my bets on this, since the full quote is usually "EOC, we got canaries (code for civilians I'm pretty sure) on the scene!" Also there was a patch, does anyone have patch notes?

That's the log for the 16th December update.
That would be stupidly unbalanced. No one would want to play as the cops.
I can see people playing as the specials.
I can see people playing as the specials.
Even though the game wasn't made to have any Versus mode of the sort, it really would have been sweet to see one. After playing over 40 something hours of this game, I just stopped playing it. If there was some kind of versus mode, I probably would have put over 200 hours into the game by now!
I can see people playing as the specials.
Let one guy play the "SWAT Commander". He gets to order what troops, how many, where they go in, etc. He's limited by manpower and can only have a limited amount of cops and specials at once. He also gets to do things like order the beginning and end of Assaults (there is a cooldown), and open elevator doors, open the FWB Vault, and see your position through security cameras. He only gets to operate from a tactical map and if you destroy all the cameras, won't be able to see your position at all and will only be given vague updates by SWAT Operators (such as knowing you're in the vault area, but not knowing where).
Here's the log if anybody wants it, from the steam forums
Fix for custom Nvidia Settings being reset by PAYDAY Fix for Steam disconnect crash Fix so you can play PAYDAY in Steam Offline mode Fix for random crashes in Diamond Heist Fix for Drop In disabling some interactions for the dropped in clients on Slaughterhouse. Optimizations for more FPS. PATCH 6 is bigger with the OVERKILL 145+ features etc but we wanted to get this one out fast for you guys.
Anyone else getting "Lost Connection to host a LOT"? happened after update
So, does anyone here actually like Heat Street or Green Bridge? I personally can barely stand them. Heat Street and Green Bridge just turn into a frustrating grind that's not really fun for anybody, which is a shame because Green Bridge has a beautiful atmosphere, especially with the Dinero filter. Heat Street has the potential to be fun and exciting, but instead it's just trench warfare with cars instead of trenches. Progression is slow as fuck; kill 20 cops and 15 take their place. By the time you finally widdle their numbers down to a manageable level, "Assault" and 50 more come out of nowhere.
I like green bridge but heat street is bullshit, needs to turn the cops down by 50% or shorten the distance.
Am really quite bored with this game, I wish it had some Versus mode, something like cop side having to rescue a set amount of civillians while the robbers try to prevent them from doing that, no incaps, just custody/death and a standard respawn timer, but eh, I'll just play SWAT 4.

I bet 75% or more of the whiners have probably never even played Overkill difficulty, so I dunno wtf they were talking about.

I'd expect SWAT to have exceptional accuracy. The problem is the number of them, it's simply ridiculous. [editline]6th January 2012[/editline] Well they're slightly different. With Heat Street it's the mass amount of them you have to deal with, and no breaks. With Green Bridge, it's that there is no front, they come from all sides at one time and there's not enough cover to deal with it all.

I would pay for that, if it came in a (nicely-priced) DLC. But no-one would play it since the game already has so few players. Especially since you have no cover. Heat Street is so freaking hard it's not funny if you try to kill the cops before advancing. As soon as it starts I sprint to the van and ignore all cops.
I am thinking about getting this game this weekend, do you guys recommend it? Also, what types of customization does this game have?
I can't play Heat Street without killing 5 civilians through misfire. Can't help it, they always run in the way. You afraid of gun fire, lady? Don't run across the street then, dumb bitch. The game itself is fucking great. Better than Left 4 Dead 2 by a long shot.
