Ugh, I hate super serious players
"guys don't start yet" -- me "I'm throwing lunch together" -- me
go check on my microwave, they started
"why didn't you say you were leaving, give me one reason i shouldn't kick you etc etc"
idiots
[editline]8th August 2012[/editline]
which brings me to my next point, anyone want to play some payday with a level 20 player (me)
I'll accept nearly anyone because I don't care what level people are, we were all scrubs in the past. Of course, since I have the DLC, people join in my server like fucking crazy. :V:
People I don't accept are stupid/rude people that just tells me to "Fucking start the fucking map" or stuff like that. I can't stand those people.
Just bought it. Played a bit but seriously... you can't play it with pubbies. Most of them are just fucking incompetent and just sit at one place and do nothing but just shooting the cops.
My friend was telling some pub retard to watch the elevators on FWB. He keeps eyeballing the entrance to the lobby that we have locked down. He tells him "WATCH YOUR FUCKING ANGLE OR YOU'RE GOING TO GET HIT BY A CLOAKER". Guy looks down entrance hallway again and gets whacked by a cloaker. On Overkill, this is already a colossal pain in the ass. I finally get him up and again my friend tells him to watch the fucking elevators. Sure enough, he looks down our hallway again and gets his ass kicked by a cloaker AGAIN. My friend says "WHAT DID I JUST SAY? WHAT DID I JUST FUCKING SAY!?"
Anyway we had him help us all the way to the exit, and then I kicked him from the game before I stepped into the exit circle. Fucked him out of a good bit of cash. Felt good considering the shit he put us through. Angry steam messages were recieved and ignored.

Actually, having a microphone raises player usefulness by around 100%.
The rest, it's usually level. I haven't met much dumb level 145s and higher.
I really hate all the people who don't understand difficulty, I always get joined by a level 0-30 on overkill and just die instantly.
I always play with AI, They don't do the objectives but they are fairly good shots and will hold out with you in any spot without arguing.
Seeing as I'm not going to get the DLC anytime soon, would it be a good idea to reach Level 145 before I think of getting the DLC?

Do you guys have any favorite masks?
You got to play with him?
As nice a game this is, the devs are big babies. I posted the following video in the Payday section on the Steam forums earlier today and all traces of it was inexplicably silently deleted within the hour:

This heinous action can without doubt be traced to one Bo aka the bank manager. I, for one, will not stand for such blatant censorship and will make sure to slap the bank manager the next time I see him.
Just picked up this game today in the sale. I can't believe how awesome it is. Anyone up for organizing a FP game some time?
Chains' dinosaur mask is best mask.
I was watching some gameplay videos and the shooting seems pretty bad, is this worth the $5?
I was watching some gameplay videos and the shooting seems pretty bad, is this worth the $5?
The shooting is perfectly fine. It's definitely worth $5.

I was skeptical at first, but it's actually really fun. Definitely worth $5.

Obama mask is better.

I actually felt the same way when I first saw videos of Payday, but I bought it today and actually enjoy it. In my opinion, the shooting is fine. I'm not sure if its $20 worth of longevity, but for $5 its definitely worth the money.
If someone could upload their save with the rage masks I'd appreciate it.:zoid:
Masks aren't tied to your saved stats. They're tied to Steam groups which are all, of course, invite-only.
They should just think of a new way to give them out, Perhaps as a bonus for joining the steam group. But i'm sure you guys are happy with them being fairly uncommon.
got it, pretty fun. wish there was a way to lean or a cover system or something though
New weapons in the DLC aren't very good (except AK, which is better than AMCAR but worse than other guns). Sentry gun has... limited usefulness. Toolkit is nearly useless. Only cool thing is the Technician's crew bonus, Big Game Hunters or whatever it's called. Ammo bonus along the same lines as extra starting ammo.
Especially disappointed by the grenade launcher. Was looking forward to it.
The best part about the technician class is the extra body armor upgrade.

so essentially your paying 10$ for the ability to host new maps and shitty guns that are less usefull then old ones. GG

There are a few cases where this stuff pays off. If you go down, the strykr pistol is hilariously effective. You will hose down everyone around you. Outside of that, I can't suggest it over Crosskill/Bronco. The sentry gun holds positions down VERY well. It will last through pretty much one assault wave before it burns out. It can't be picked up, nor can it be fixed after, and you only get one.
Technician stuff is very situational, though I still haven't found much use for the GL. It's sort of like the GL from Left 4 Dead 2 but with a much smaller blast radius. Also the specials usually survive the blast.

Meh, the DLC just came out, it's probably subject to tweaks later on as well.
So nobody can get past the 2nd cop on counterfeit without somehow alerting the swat to come in. Overkill says there's something everybody is missing. The download content has been out for a while on ps3 and still nobody has found out what to do. I can't tell if it's just bad game design or if the solution is going to be a part of some arg for the sequel.

Well I've played 2 rounds of Counterfeit and how many hostages are there? I'm pretty sure they run off to the streets or something like that to raise suspicion. Or you might have to wait until the cops are inside the house long enough away from any windows. Where do they come in at anyway?

There aren't many hostages. Only one person needs extra hand ties. I've been looking around on forums and several hundred people have done everything perfect, at least according to overkill, and yet the swat still come in. People have tried answering the phones, using the cop radios to call the swat off, taking the cops hostage instead of killing them. It seems like nothing works but overkill keeps saying there's something everyone's missing. Really wish Bo or somebody would leak some information about it.

Well I guess that you need to observe the cops and see what they do, or try hiding in the pool, which is a stupid idea but might work.
If you have the DLC we can load up a server with this map and do some 'experimenting' I guess.
I think I found a favorite soundtrack in the game. While on the counterfeit topic, maybe you can take a police officer hostage and force him to call off a raid? Not sure if this is even possible but after all the hours put in the game I'm still uncovering new things.
People have already tried that, didn't work. So far the only thing that even seems like a clue is a map with a magnifying glass at a certain point and a compass carpet in one of the houses.
There's exactly 8 hostages every time, tie them all down and wait in the second house until the cops arrive, then quickly take out both silently while they are inside, then 2 more cops come to another place (can't remember where) and do the same.
