I can never do DH, there's too many guards. 90% of the time you're hiding from at least 1, probably 2. And every time you round a corner you have to pray there isn't a guard standing there, but I'm usually not that lucky.
All the guards have a set path they patrol. If you memorize their patrols it gets easier. Also don't just run around corners. You can also be in their cone of vision for about 1.5 seconds before the alarm goes off. I've been able to sprint in front of guards about 2 feet in front of them and they don't notice.
So apparently green bridge and heat street are possible on overkill

Shame you can't just kill 'em off with silenced weapons :v:
Started playing Payday some days ago. Already with reputation 35, did my first try in hard on Heat Street and I got a BSOD Just when I was waiting for the helicopter :suicide:
In other news. I love the first level because it's simple and for some reason I love play it many times.
Oh and Hoxton is my favorite character of the crew.
DH on overkill is my new favorite.
It's easy and a nice way to get money if the safe opens.
DH on overkill 145+ gives you 12,000 K If you get the CFO and everyone survives. (2000k per alive person.)

I really wish the AMCAR was select fire
Yeah, but why does it say that the Amcar is Semi-automatic on the loadout screen?
Yeah, but why does it say that the Amcar is Semi-automatic on the loadout screen?
Idunno... lol
I really think the game would be better with just a little touch more of realism. They already have different empty and tactical reloads, I don't see why select fire would be that much of a problem (especially with ammo mechanics how they are).
Also sway in iron sights would be nice, like KF.

well it's the same as magazines in most FPS games.
do you really want America's Army/RO magazines in a game like payday?
well it's the same as magazines in most FPS games.

most FPS games don't subtract ammo from your magazine + your total ammo when you fire
most FPS games don't subtract ammo from your magazine + your total ammo when you fire
erm
when you think about it, it's the same, except it just keeps track of actual total ammo, instead of "ammo loaded" and "ammo not loaded"
the number displayed is equivalent to adding the 2 numbers in the bottom of your screen in say, CS.
i know, it still bothers me anyway though :v:
it bothers me too, don't worry
That being said, it bothers me more that I can't pick up guns on the ground...
thought that's a game design decision (you probably could just run around picking up AMCARs and never run out of ammo), it's adfkjahwerhalwsdf annoying
Also, I wish there were more upgrades, just for eye candy
like improved iron sights and stuff
exact same fucking scenario, but on diamond heist.
I get in the fucking vault, get owned by some bloody cloaker, and the bots come when theres 3 seconds left.
Even though they had a shitload of time to get here, considering they were only like, 20 metres away.

First code worked, got 9 mins.
Quick tip, if you get the codes to work on the first try and you see the door opening, sound the alarm outside first by shooting an unsilenced gun or a Guard.
Why? Because once you smash the glass in the Vault, the game automatically spawns Cloakers and Tasers inside the Vault to attack you. Sounding the alarm before entering the vault makes the game start up the normal police assault wave, which takes 30 seconds to prep and starts off with puny Cops instead. By that time, you can smash and grab and run up to the roof with little or no shooting required.

Saw this tip in a guide somewhere, very useful.
But I can't get the codes to work regularly. Everyone says that the faster you go the more likely they are to work but even when I get all the devices set up in record time they don't work.
The codes usually work for me if I get all the tablets in roughly under 2:30. Though, there are some times that the codes just don't work (as it's a higher CHANCE, not guaranteed).
If that ever happens, I just keep running, taking out cameras along the way. That's my advice: run. Listen carefully to the police radio and stay away from the floors they are attacking and the Atrium in the center. The AI of the bots is simple: if you camp, they home in on you; if you keep running, they eventually lag behind and can't catch up.
Also, you should memorize the spawn locations of the CFO and Ralph, which you can find on the Wiki:

I like to use the GL40 to break the glass. I just shoot it in one spot and all the glass near that side shatters.
The passed couple days I wondered what a 'realism mode' would be like in this game. Say you start Panic Room, you kill all the gangsters and take the rest hostage. Police arrive on scene and take cover behind their vehicles, but they don't fire at you unless you fire at them, they sit and wait for SWAT to arrive. SWAT, instead of relying on human wave attacks, operates in small teams that enter the building quietly and attempt to avoid contact until any hostages are set free. Sheilds and Tasers may sit outside with the rest of the police to form a wall and give you that 'surrounded' feeling. Rather than shoot you on sight, SWAT will attempt to coax you into surrender by shouting at you, if you do not move, an officer will move up to cuff you. If you attack, flee, or aim at them, they will retaliate with force. SWAT do not want to die, which means they'll be unusually likely to surrender if they're sure they cannot bring you down (most likely in a 1v1 situation where the officer is injured, though perhaps you could get the whole squad to give up if you startled them from behind). Injured SWAT will attempt to evacuate themselves from the building, or surrender themselves if they cannot. You can never die, but the longer you are down, the longer it takes to get you up. Hostage trades may be made for extra cash instead of teammates, or maybe to convince the cops to lay off you for a minute. During your escape is the one and only time a full-on Assault will be triggered, as the Police (Blue Swat) and FBI (Heavy Swat) will make their last desperate attempt to prevent you from escaping.
I think it would be cool if they expanded the whole heist timeline and added some-kind of a campaign-plots in the next game. So, basically, you would have to drop down in some sewers, find a way through to some building's basement which has a safe with the plans and security codes for some bank vault or w/e. So if you do all this without being noticed (with some proper stealth gameplay), noone will expect you in the bank later. Or, you can go in guns blazing, blowing stuff up to get the stuff faster but you'll have to face the consequences later. Some sort of a giant world map with different heists available there would be also cool.
