I wish they added that in. It would be an interesting mechanic.
I wish you could hit civilians without killing them, to make them more "submissive", and knock them back (like zombies in l4d) would come in handy in no mercy.
So is there any reason to use the amcar over the ak?
Yes, Amcar is less of an ammo drain. Also it has less recoil.
Oh hooray, Rep 145. [sp]fuck you overkill 145+ you impossible piece of shit jesus christ[/sp]
Oh hooray, Rep 145. Specials units raining everywhere.
I was going to pick up the second can of termite when... I have yet to play the DLC when i return mid September. So I'm wondering, are the new weapons good and worth using? Someone just said the Amcar beats AK which slightly saddens me. How about the other weps?

Me and a friend were joking about how No Mercy can be a real pain, and what it would be like on a new, higher than 'OVERKILL 145+', suicidal difficulty. "There should be 28 cameras, I'll do a countdown." "One." Then a bulldozer jumps up from behind the desk and one-hits the entire team while pelvic thrusting the alarm button.

It's just more of an all-around weapon than the AK, which seems to excel in tight corridors and lobbies as the FWB.
The latest patch replaced Payday's main menu theme music and loadout music. At this point, the change appears to be permanent with no chance of an option to switch back the old music. These are the new menu and loadout themes: I think it's appropriate to take a moment to pay our respects to the original soundtrack: RIP, we hardly knew ye.
I guess I sort of like the new theme in its own way, but as everyone else already said on the Steam forum, it really should be an option. The old theme was pretty rad.
I'm sure they'll add in some option to alternate back and forth.
wow, the original music is a shitload better.
I'm sure they'll add in some option to alternate back and forth.
This does not appear to be a likely prospect. The original theme was composed by Rob Blom (for which "he wasn't paid much") and then remixed into the loadout theme by Simon Viklund who did the rest of the game's music. While a couple of other tracks were also updated in Patch 15, it is telling that only the main menu and loadout themes were outright replaced. Although it's speculation at this point, this course of action by Overkill suggests some sort of rights issue arose with Rob Blom as this change occurred before the long promised but heavily delayed soundtrack which is now said to be coming soon. It was originally slated to be released along with the DLC. I find it hard to believe the timing in inexplicably targeting Blom's work is just a coincidence considering the circumstances.
Why do nice things always have to go down bad.
I wish there was a heist where we get to hold up a casino. Kinda like in GTA: San Andreas.
The music is still the same for me on my PS3 copy of the game.
That's because PS3 has no [del]games[/del] updates.
I'm not too mad about the changes personally, though I don't really care for the new loadout theme, just not as upbeat as the old one. I just hope they don't ever change this theme, because it pretty much just says "Fuck yeah."
Personally, I think the new music doesn't fit very well in the game. I will miss the old music. Now opening the game, starting and winning a heist wouldn't be the same.
I love the originals, but after giving the new ones a listen they're not bad. I think the buildup takes too long for each of the new themes. They're just a bit slow compared to the originals, which were adrenaline-pumping and tense. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a way to change it soon enough.
Just got a 75mb update, anyone else got this?

The new theme sounds more like a generic heist music, something you'd hear in a movie. Though I'll miss the old ones a lot.
Hey guys, new to the thread - new to the game. Enjoying it so far, seems like a very underrated shooter. My only (albeit massive) problem is the sensitivity. I have it on 0% and it's literally 3 times more sensitive then I have the rest of my games. Windows notch setting on 6, DPI 1800, no hardware or windows acceleration. Is there a config file or something? How the fuck do I fix this?
Even playing this game with friends it gets boring, how to lvl 145+?
