Considering the price of the game, i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't.
*Sighs* I'm starting to get impatient myself at this point. When they said "A few days," I thought they meant until next week...

Good point, but still :/

Am' i late ?
As far as I know no one brought it up here on Facepunch, but it has been commented on in the Steam Forums. I wouldn't bother being hopeful though, Overkill and Sony are being super tight lipped about the whole thing and we don't know shit.

It was between Orcs Must Die! and Disciples 3 a week ago, I doubt the game'll release on 14-19th.
It was before Rage on the list until Rage was released, so it's probably meaningless.

I'm pretty sure that's because 14th-19th holds the middle of the month, which is probably where games with no specific day are set.
Honestly guys... at this point... I wouldn't expect it to release until the 31th. But hey, Dead Rising: Off the Record JUST came out, and is fucking awesome... So that will tide me over until then!
Dead Rising: Off the Record JUST came out
Whoa whoa whoa, when did this happen?
Preordered, on PC of course.
Can't wait for the super secrit relees date
Oh America got it first, i was wondering why i didn't know about it.
does anybody know the actual release date? i thought it was today.
Most likely to release on a Tuesday, so either 10/18 or 10/25.
Looks like they changed it. Shit. Well there goes that date. Can someone with a PS3 verify if it is still up for Oct 12th on the PSN Store?

All these companies listing release dates for the game is really putting me on edge.
The developers have stated that the game is being delayed due to issues, it is not finished so why would the PS3 store be right? Same goes for your post about Amazon. The developers are being surprisingly open about the game on the SPUF so why would they lie to us last minute?
Rating me dumb won't change that.

They are still fixing up last minute issues, but they have said 'October' for sure.

The pre-order discounts are gone on Steam. When did this happen?

First they said it was "issues", then they said it was Sony's review process holding them up, and now it's "issues" again? If it was the review process holding them up, the PS3 store could have been right (sony does run the thing... or do you not know that?), but now it's "issues" again. I'm not saying this is some crazy conspiracy, what I'm saying is the flip-flopping, wide open "October" release date is stupid and an indication that Overkill fucked up big time. Come on man, Overkill waited until damn near the last minute to inform everyone there would be a delay. What the fuck is that?
Anwyay, I recall your dumb rating was first and totally unnecessary. I was just returning the favour.
As far as i'm concerned Overkill are being pretty unprofessional about this.
As far as i'm concerned Overkill are being pretty unprofessional about this.
I just want the game already
As far as i'm concerned Overkill are being pretty unprofessional about this.
Shouldn't Sony be the ones to blame?
As publisher, they're the ones who announce release dates when dealing with retail outlets.
Sony just distribute the game they're not co-developers, you don't have a reason to blame Sony, nobody does.
[editline]12th October 2011[/editline]
And now whenever Overkill throw out the whole, "It's Sony's fault" or "We've got some last minute bugs that need taking care of" making us think they were like 5 minutes off releasing the damn game, it makes us dislike them even more and makes more people cancel pre-ordering it or thinking about pre-ordering it.
I bet by time it comes out they'll shut up and buy it anyway, then complain about bugs the game has.
The pre-order discounts are gone on Steam. When did this happen?
I'm guessing the PSN and Steam both put the release date to October 12th (Which obviously wasn't right) for whatever reason. Looks like they need to fix it up again.
While I still think SPUF is overreacting like crazy to the delay, I do admit that it's starting to get a bit silly at this point, and the developers aren't really doing themselves any favors by constantly changing their reasons for the delay.
Honestly, I was kind of expecting it to be massively unpolished anyways. The animations will still be awful, it will probably still be buggy as hell, the AI will still be inconsistent and terrible, and I knew all that going into this. They could at least give us a more specific release period rather than being extremely vague and shit.
On a side note, their reasoning for not including an FOV changer is "because they based the balancing of the game's mechanics around everything, including FoV", which is probably one of the most hilariously dumb reasons for not including an fov changer I've heard of in a long time.
Who cares for FOV anyway? People say that Borderlands' fov was "too low, like you're shooting from your teeth", but me and my friends didn't give a single fuck.
Who cares for FOV anyway?
"I like the fov these games have therefore everyone who does doesn't matter"
