I agree with you: Undercorver is one of the only maps that took me a bunch of tries to complete it. But the mission is fun, unlike something like Heat Street where you just have to pray while you run. You have to be full sneaky when you move close to windows.
The best tactic in UC is actually spreading out the theme, otherwise you'll be taken down quickly by the hundreds of specials. Oh and a tip, have someone go to the roof and take out the snipers a couple before the escape object starts (Keep an eye on the Laptop/PC)
This game is so much fun, picked it up during the sale and I've already put in 12 hours, currently level 44 with technician being my main upgrade route. I just wish there were less sucky players, 3/4s of them can't handle anything beyond the Bank on normal. I was lucky enough to just get a team right now that wasn't incompetent, and we beat the Bank on hard, which was my first hard playthrough. I got 3 challenges for not killing any civvys, not getting downed and not getting arrested. I played with a few guys some days ago that I bought the 4-pack for, and we all used our microphones. Made the game way more fun, as well as easier to coordinate team effort. Wish I had a reason to use it in pub play, though. I figure, what's the point in using it if my team is bound to suck?

Which was pretty insane because none of us talked about getting any cameras or any plans, sometimes you just get lucky with your group.
I just reached 193, and holy shit these last 3 games I played were so much fun we found around 4 necklaces and got all the c4s of the counterfeit vault 3 times in a row, and someone was using the mr. nice guy crew bonus SO MUCH MONEY So anyways, 193 now, what's there to do now?

I will do a backup of my save, then continue playing. In case Overkill decides to release another gameplay DLC I will restore that backup and my challenges will be intact and ready to help me to level up. Or... play Counterfeit constantly due the lots of money it has.

I played 3 games today doing that, and besides one where we lost because the guy with the medical bag decided to never drop it even though we were all on the verge of dying for the longest time (medbag guy included), it worked out pretty well.

Completed a mercy stealth run. Took us many tries due to the civilians jumping up all the time but we got it eventually. Now, if only we could manage to do diamond heist this way.
Completed a mercy stealth run. Took us many tries due to the civilians jumping up all the time but we got it eventually. I think the alarm with more guards watching is the one on the floor 23. After taking the alarm boxes, pray for the codes to work. If you are playing Overkil or Overkill +145 you better get the entire team inside the vault to take the diamonds, because that area will be full of law enforcers in less of 10 seconds after triggering the alarm.
Any tips for Noh Mercy without any civilian activating the alarm?
Any tips for Noh Mercy without any civilian activating the alarm?
Simple, get a man by each of the buttons and SHOUT 'EM THE FUCK DOWN.
Simple, get a man by each of the buttons and SHOUT 'EM THE FUCK DOWN.
Yea, and have the last person fulfill the objectives. Eventually when the turrets go up, it's safe to go.
As much as I like the game it's just gotten stale since I know pretty much how every heist goes.
As much as I like the game it's just gotten stale since I know pretty much how every heist goes.
Hence, why Overkill should release an SDK for the game and Workshop support.
Any tips for Noh Mercy without any civilian activating the alarm?
Shoot the civilians.
Shoot the civilians.
One time, I played No Mercy in Overkill just for kill all the civilians. That was a nice day. The world was a better place for heisters since that day.
But not for your score :v:
Killing the civilians apperantly triggers the alarms too from what I've seen.
Killing the civilians apperantly triggers the alarms too from what I've seen.
Bain mentions some of 'em having heartbeat monitors. I think it's the doctors, most likely.
Run around a corner one of those Sam Fisher bastards this happens so much.
LICK YA WOUNDS LICK YA WOUNDS SORRY GUYS, SLIGHT MISCALCUATION I GOT FRIENDS IN HIGHER PLACES I'LL HAVE YA OUT OF THE SLAMMER IN LESS THAN A WEEK THEY TAKING HOSTAGES FROM RIGHT UNDER YA "KNOW"ES Fuckin Bain
We have a lot of money from heists and yet we can't buy a decent drill.
We have a lot of money from heists and yet we can't buy a decent drill.
Ahaha, when I first played Counterfeit, Bain mentions how you have to use an older model drill. The older model drill doesn't jam at all, but it takes a bit longer. We were like thank god. Then the power went out over and over again. Was like "hell naw"
So... Anyone know what's this about? [editline]7th November 2012[/editline]
Update 19 is live Hi guys UPDATE 19 has hit at around 30mb - mostly a Network code opt and fix Here is the stuff: 1. Network fixes for "Lost Connections" when Clients drop other clients by using Alt F4 or in some cases use the Steam Overlay back and forth. 2. Fixes for Bridge personel standing around not being able to be screamed to the floor - which got them killed most of the time 3. Fixes for masks staps clipping into the head at times. 4. Bo messing about. 4. Bo messing about. 4. BO MESSING ABOUT. Bo
Yup, nothing unusual to see here, nope, not at all.
Guys, the big secret has been discovered. There's a second vault in the First World Bank that takes 2 hours to drill. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2997627

It's not even over yet, Bo's been dropping hints in the thread and has confirmed there's more to come.
It's not even over yet, Bo's been dropping hints in the thread and has confirmed there's more to come.
oh yay another boring ARG :/
oh yay another boring ARG :/
I'll agree it's not the most well handled ARG, but Overkill show loyalty to their players and providing the most dedicated with a challenge as big as this is a great thing to do.
Yay, GAS TRAP! TIME TO DO ANOTHER TWO HOURS
