How many points is "Citadel"? It says 1200 on the store, but when I select 1200, it says I'll have 400 left and that I need at least 800 to buy it?
its only 800
beep beep spoiler train ahead 1. [sp]That's Bioware dodging a bullet, whilst most of the reapers are modelled after the leviathan, their creators(you wanted spoilers you got em), the only reason you don't see big giant Javik-shaped reapers flying around is because "the reapers couldn't collect enough prothean goop to make one like them", even though considering there's been countless cycles they should've been able to fully create at least /one/ unique reaper of some species.[/sp] 2. [sp]A partially reaper-controlled holographic AI of Legion that only mimics his likeness(which is silly if you never woke him up, besides i guess to haunt you slightly that you never got to know him and sold him to cerberus), iirc he acts more like a regular geth than legion and Tali's like "OH I KNEW WE COULDN'T TRUST THAT THING" when he tries to kill you if you choose to betray the geth.[/sp]
Weeeird. And a little...disappointing. Thanks though. [del]Also, it looks like the DLC is out on the Playstation Store here (Central time).[/del] Never mind.
No, the Reapers don't look like the species that makes them up. Their cores do. The Bioware artists drew up what the completed Reaper looks like, just like all of the others.

They fixed Citadel on origin, now it's correctly 1200 points.. Was hoping to get it whilst it was cheaper.
Fanservice is about the worst thing a company can get caught up in. The occasional nod to fans is fine, but letting fans have too much control reduces the story to fan fiction levels of stupidity. As DLC I suppose it's not the worst thing though. The EC is nice in theory since it was Bioware listening to fan disapproval, but it didn't fix anything about the endings other than the unfortunate implications of how vague it was. Everything that took a gigantic shit on the themes of the series is still there, and now it has the refusal ending as an added slap in the face.
Depends entirely on the fans. Witcher, Star Control, and Dawn of War have contained quite a bit of fanservice and it never hurt those series at all, in fact it helped. BSN and No mutants Allowed are another story completely.
There was a little too much fanservice in some points of ME3. Like all of Conrad Verner's dialogue. It's funny to have a bit of "Hey that doesn't really make sense" be pointed out. But we get it. Every single one of your lines pointing out a gameplay change gets ridiculous.
What's the best / funniest / cutest Mass Effect-related thing any fan's ever made (picture, video, whatever)

I love how lots of the civilians on the strip are multiplayer classes on leave. Bunch of fourth wall nod stuff. [editline]sadas[/editline] This shit is gold.
What the fuck
While it is a nice sentiment, that's pretty bizarre. [editline]5th March 2013[/editline]
I never really spoke to conrad, but from the wiki he sounds like Mass Effect's Maiq.
Conrad's nothing like Maiq. Conrad's just a naive sycophant who has his own quests while Maiq is more of an easter egg.

Just finished the first game for the first time, i thought it was pretty enjoyable. KOTOR is probably my favorite game of all time so naturally i'd take a liking to this, gameplay was much more enjoyable than KOTOR and Shepard's dialogue felt much more real than previous bioware games, not to mention the upgrade system was so smooth. my only complaints would be the horrdendous mako gameplay that was shoved into the majority of every level and that i can't be nice to Ashley without accidentally starting a romance i didn't want. I will never understand why everyone hated the mako sections
Make sections are great. Also this is pretty great. [T]http://i.imgur.com/OqDEWGP.jpg[/T]
I will never understand why everyone hated the mako sections
Long, boring, repetative landscapes.
I loved 'em. Mowing down geth, watching them ragdoll away away from a direct hit with the cannon, fighting a thresher maw, etc.
I loved 'em. Mowing down geth, watching them ragdoll away away from a direct hit with the cannon, fighting a thresher maw, etc.
I enjoyed fighting in the Mako, but since ME2, whenever I go back to play ME 1, I get out of the Mako and fight thresher maws on foot.
I will never understand why everyone hated the mako sections
Because it drives like shit. Have it face one direction, and look 90 degrees to the left/right and try to move forward. The bloody thing thinks you literally want to move sideways, and thus you go nowhere. I mean sure, it's nice for strafing in a firefight, but transportation with it is extremely eh in that regard. Probably didn't help that Mass Effect was an Xbox 360 exclusive at the time, and thus all the Halo players who saw Mass Effect expected the Mako to handle like their beloved Warthog where the vehicle automatically turns to the direction you aim. It had awkward weight to it that made you bounce at times you expect a vehicle to remain firm. It's fun, but it's also insanely inconvenient for someone who's goal is to get to the objective instead of play around idly with the vehicle. Getting up slopes handled... Inconsistently to say the least. Also, it did definitely not help that almost all the areas you can use the Mako in (Uncharted planets, mainly) felt like Bioware threw a few variables in a heightmap generator and called it a day. Pointless slopes and impossible to navigate terrain ahoy!
fighting a thresher maw
Also FUCK THRESHER MAWS.

Also, the one major thing I hate about ME1 is that pretty much every uncharted world interior is a copy/paste of the same three maps with different item placements. I'd respect such a concept if the game gave us the opportunity to buy stocks in whatever company produces colonization prefabs. We'd get loads of credits fast, I mean, the company has a fucking monopoly on construction in the galaxy.

[sp]I can't find Miranda in a dress anywhere in the Citadel DLC. That's half the reason I wanted it..[/sp]
