Lost Planet 2 on Hard.
Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2. Fucking camera in 2 is a boss in itself.

Those fucking rings...
Try Far Cry on realistic, you may be able to say "oh this isn't that hard" at first
Then when you get to the "Treehouse" level you will strongly reconsider that assumption.
Unlocking the S licenses on any of the Gran Turismo's is fucking tough.
Unfortunately, you need to to get past ~80% completion...
Hell, I've had Gran Turismo 3 for 9 years and just today I finished License Test S-1...
No matter what you say, I have never seen a really HARD FPS. They're mostly about trial and error. (Yes, I have played STALKER SoC on Master)
Luckily, most of them include quicksaves and quickloads, because if they didn't then they would be REALLY hard.
I will never call an FPS hard, mainly because giving the player less health and giving the enemies more health is faking the difficulty. Real difficulty is a good AI or a hard goal, not making the player weaker than the enemies.
Another hard game:
Fire Emblem: Radient Dawn.
I've just now started playing it, and it already drives me insane. I have played most of the english Fire Emblem games, and even one japanese one with a translation-patch. I am playing on normal mode, and it has this "fake" difficulty I spoke about earlier. Except here it's more about strategy, seeing how you need to hit an enemy twice to kill him, and so does them, so if you want to kill a group of two you need 4 people, and a healer to heal them all, so you need to aim to stay out of the enemies reach while killing them. They have about the same stats as the player, the AI is really realistic (A little too predictable though), and overall a difficult game. Once I try hard mode I will tell you guys how it is (I need to win Normal mode to unlock it)
Men of War
Well, maybe it's hard because I just suck at RTS's.
No, it is honest to god hard. You get at most a fourth of the force you should for like every mission except the defense ones, there you get a third.
To be honest, it's not that hard, it's more about memorization than actual reflexes and skills.
Depends, to be honest I find TH06 to be very hard because of all random-spam attacks.
In fact, I've 1cc'd on Lunatic every Touhou game except 06 and 12 (1cc Hard). They have the biggest amout of random attacks if I'm not mistaken.
Falcon 4.0.

Wait now a goddamn motherfucking ass-seconds here.
You 1cc'd Touhou 11? ON HARD? I can't win that on
Easy modo
However, I have 1cc'd most of the other games on Normal, and Touhou 8 on hard.
Anyway, new hard game: Bunny must Die.
It's an indie game about a cat-rabbit-girl (And if you haven't guessed it already, it's made in Japan), but she calls the cat-ears a curse, because she was born as a bunny girl (I know, the story makes no sense to me either, especially when the huge cat-genie comes and tells her sh- forget it). Did I mention she's in a bikini?
The game is a Metroidvania. Why is it hard? Well, the controls. They are stiff and do not work as most people would like them. So, this is quite another example of fake difficulty!

Getting gold on all the tests is nigh on impossible, I could only ever get a couple of golds, a few more silvers and the rest bronze.
Trying again and again for the gold just used to piss me off so I left them as they were :v:

Yeah Arma 2 was a bitch to get used to. Everything is far more complicated because of the added concept of realism, which I have no problem with.
Fucking Bioshock on the hardest difficulty. Or trying to play oblivion as a stealth character.
Cat Mario and IWBTG weren't hard, they were just about trial and error.

Bioshock I can slightly agree with, but that's another example of fake difficulty. (Player gets less health, NPCs get more)
Oblivion with stealth character is like Megaman. It starts of hard, but the farther into the game you come, the easier it gets
Or trying to play oblivion as a stealth character.
Well the only reason it's hard is because the game's stealth system is essentially broken. An enemy can easily spot you sneaking behind a barrel in pitch darkness 25 meters away. I hated the Dark Brotherhood mission where you had to[sp]sneak into the prison and kill that elf.[/sp]The guards have nightvision or some shit.

Any sneak skill over 25 makes you essentially invisible when in darkness. Really.
Right now, my sneak skill is 90 and I can fucking walk into my opponents.

It's not hard. You just need to go through the level remembering where everything is.

touhou is pretty much the easiest series in the genre. play some rRootage, DonPachi, Ikaruga, Radiant Silvergun, etc.
Call of Duty 4 and WaW were sick on veteran difficulty.
