I am in no way denying that he possibly is, I haven't spoken with him much to determin it for myself and I most certainly don't make my mind up based on other peoples. And when did I ever say that running my own personal group for people that share similar interests to me make me in anyway respectable? I am just stating that I had a feeling it would happen eventually. These gore images weren't in anyway related to anime/doujin/manga etc. It was some troll from 4chan posting gore images that was on one of the boards there.
Just, stop...
<<< Fucking bad shit.
<<< Fucking bad shit.
hilarious did you make that one up yourself?
Am I the only one who finds this thread incredibly stupid? Some of you people are even bothering these people. Leave them alone. :/
Am I the only one who finds this thread incredibly stupid? Some of you people are even bothering these people.
Well, the guys whom profiles I posted were enourmous twats in general. Just go a few pages back, and read xomp's posts, he really deserved that.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that his profile was posted here and mocked. And then, I'm guessing he found about it and came here starting shit. (If I'm wrong, please correct me) Now, I don't know about you, but some people don't like having their own about me pages mocked. Some people like to put up their own personal things on there that makes them happy, whether it's just a bit of their personality, or their likes and dislikes, stuff they are proud of, etc. I can understand that these people get hurt, because they're basically having their humanity invalidated because they want to be an Otaku, or are proud to be an employee of a store and what not. And then, when these people get pissed, you guys further instigate them by mocking them right in their faces. What [Green] basically did is pointing out, "your profile and your likes are stupid, and here's why." And everything the guy said as a response means nothing to you all because you see him as a "otaku faggot no life" or whatever. What he did ends up coming up as someone telling you, "don't like these things, it doesn't make you normal," and no one wants their life controlled. And liking things outside the social norm doesn't make you a weirdo, a no life, a faggot, a loser, etc. It makes you an individual. My question is, why do you all give so much of a rat's ass about someone's likes or what someone is? Does making fun of them fill a void in your life or something? Or do you guys just like to mock things that you might be "in the closet" about? Just seems really immature, but if it makes you guys happy then whatever. Just don't think you're good people for mocking others for no good reason.

There is shit in the world not everyone on Steam wants to know about, like which character on a show you'd like to share your bed with, or being a pervert, or if you do drugs while watching certain shows or putting weird fetishes on your profile for everyone to see. And you only took Green's example from this page, and true, people take it badly most of the time, but for christsake, know how to argue over that, and not spew profanities around against everyone or state your wish to kill them all. Most of the persons who had their profiles posted, went on to behave exactly as everyone expected them to. And not in the good way, but hell-bent on pissing everyone off with thier stated behavior, without making any points of 'Whoa, okay, I see why some people are not liking my profile and/or behavior'. There was an occasion where the rest of the threadgoers disagreed with certain postings, because they were not that really bad. And now we are on it, the whole debacle with 'xomp', the only member in this thread who got a permaban. Basically, some minion of him on a certain forum kept revering him like he was the second coming of Christ, while the same minion was being a dick to the rest of the forum all the time, untill his ban. I came upon this thread long afterward, post his profile, which was bad and be done with it. Untill I stumble upon the same server as him, it is his, and he really is being a jerk to everyone, and specially me, for no other reason other of my profile pic. He then actively stalks me on my profile, keeps insulting me, untill I've had really enough of his dickishness and block him. Then, thanks to MrBond, he stumbles upon this thread, and you can read how that went from page 18. He deleted afterwards a huge part of his profile, the part which existed of 'Hurr look at these fags I've wrecked huehue'. In short, we are not thinking we are the good guys here, people in this thread only like to show what you should really not post on your profile.
-fasjkhflassdfsfawe-
While the point of thread is to find low quality profiles, if someone comes into this thread and is upset it wouldn't hurt to be a little apathetic. However if the person is doing their best impression of sandpaper to the face then it's up to someone to calm down the situation.
Look, I get your point, but seriously, I think most people have the same opinion about what is wrong to put on your profile. There is shit in the world not everyone on Steam wants to know about, like which character on a show you'd like to share your bed with, or being a pervert, or if you do drugs while watching certain shows or putting weird fetishes on your profile for everyone to see.
It's an about me page for a reason. You're allowed to put whatever you want on it. Some people like to be perverts and what not. I know I would put a lot more about my personal likes on my profile and stuff. But if I did, then I'd be demeaned as a lesser being in a debate or something because they use my profile to prove I'm a "freak of nature" and discredit anything I say, even if it is something of value to the topic. My point being, just let them, it's not like you're forced to see their profile or anything. The only thing I can agree on is putting something sexual as your avatar since you can't actually avoid that in games. Labeling fetishes and what drugs you do doesn't seem to bother me. Who cares, someone might like to see it and maybe some users actually like to find people that share similar interests. There really is nothing wrong or right to put on a profile. That's opinion, like you said. Opinion.
And you only took Green's example from this page, and true, people take it badly most of the time, but for christsake, know how to argue over that, and not spew profanities around against everyone or state your wish to kill them all. There was an occasion where the rest of the threadgoers disagreed with certain postings, because they were not that really bad.
Well, when people are angry, they tend to say shit they don't mean. You can't honestly tell me you haven't said shit you don't mean because you were pissed over something or pissed that someone mocked you for no reason. There's no reason for them to say, "Well I can see why they don't like my profile," because there is no point in attacking them in the first place. To them, it's ok to put this on their profile, and it really is. Unless they say they like to murder people irl, stick fire crackers up a cat's ass, rape children, or go into excessive detail over a fetish, then it's not wrong.
And now we are on it, the whole debacle with 'xomp', the only member in this thread who got a permaban. Basically, some minion of him on a certain forum kept revering him like he was the second coming of Christ, while the same minion was being a dick to the rest of the forum all the time, untill his ban. He deleted afterwards a huge part of his profile, the part which existed of 'Hurr look at these fags I've wrecked huehue'.
Well that's an example of someone who deserves it then. But to have someone made fun of, and then them being mad about it and getting pissy isn't funny. It's just mean.
In short, we are not thinking we are the good guys here, people in this thread only like to show what you should really not post on your profile.
But some attack these people personally too. It isn't right, and what you're allowed to post on your profile in regards of who you are as a person is subjective. You guys can't set an example of what is right and wrong to put on your profile because there is no right and wrong unless something you talk is offensive (i.e. examples I stated earlier like saying you like to hurt people, kill people, stick fire crackers up a cat's ass, etc).
t sonar please stop go make a mass debate thread or something people don't want to read this
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/lesbienne Jesus! What i just found on steam?
not everything in this thread is about people anyway, look at the avatar for this one, nsfw obviously
-Stuff-
One flaw in your argument is that this is a profile for a community that revolves around games and gaming. This is not Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr. A small bio is one thing, - nobody's going to be up in arms if you put a few words about yourself there, putting in your name, occupation, height, orientation, etc. - but a comprehensive list of all of your kinks and fetishes is another. Putting down that you consider yourself a furry is fine. Making a gigantic wall praising furries and saying how amazing everything about them is and spending six lines complaining about the "haters" is not. It's incredibly obnoxious and not the place for it. If you want to be an open book, that's fine. I support that. But not everybody wants to know everything about you, and your Steam profile is not the place to put it all. Let people ask you about things, and then answer them honestly.

You say not everybody wants to know, sure, but saying "not everybody" implies there are people who do. And therefore, it's easier for these people to make friends with those with similar interests. Also if you aren't an open book, wouldn't it be extremely awkward to have someone just randomly ask, "So you interested in getting fucked in the ass with a cheese grater x3?" I think these people have the decency to not just randomly ask someone about their fetishes if it's clear they aren't open about it. I just don't understand WHY people get up in arms about it. Why do you care so much what's on a person's profile? Can't you just live and let live?
And now for update on older content. Don't worry, this guy is really someone who had it coming. http://steamcommunity.com/id/loloolololmanualvacbanned http://steamcommunity.com/id/sheismywhat http://steamcommunity.com/id/zysygyz http://steamcommunity.com/id/simw2 All of the profiles above are from the same person, all VAC'd. Some kiddie who bragged about having VAC-undetectable hacks got what was coming to him. And probably also most of his friends/alts, which I have to say to: Good Riddance. And now for the kicker: He keeps saying it was a manual ban, and then left a link to a hacking forum dedicated to avoid VAC. Smart move.
Bragging about your hacks on steam community. What could go wrong.
ou still don't understand what i'm saying. are you fucking stupid? it was undetected for 5 months until a butthurt fag sent his binary file to valve, causing the detections. i'm not vac'd so it's not detected. aka undetected. account from may 28th, almost two months. it's fixed. vac checks every two weeks. it'll stay undetected unless someone sends it to valve. if i get banned, it's most likely gonna be a manual vac ban because chances are it won't be sent to valve. learn to read dumbass.
Gorilla warfare.
Was invited to a group about people who like MLP but aren't faggots about it. Took a look, heres an admin.

Well, so much for that
I don't think I ever told you guys about the Nazi pony groups I was invited to. I still have the invites. Oh god I just imagined hitler having little MLP plushies.
I added xomp on steam. I'm talking with him right now. I fear for today's youth, if this is how they act.
I added xomp on steam. I'm talking with him right now. I fear for today's youth, if this is how they act.
i just clicked on your profile and it lead me to a bunch of ironic breaking bad roleplayers thanks for the laugh

Really hurts me to see the worst of the bunch in here all the time. I personally know a couple of people who watch MLP and stuff in real life and they're really cool people. Then there's faggots like this:

And I cringe. It's like the army in the regard that if one person fucks up, the whole group suffers. These people who made the groups, no matter how much of a "joke" they tried to make it (wasn't even funny) it still hurts people's view of the entire community which was already unnecessarily low. That said, what a bunch of faggots, that group.
