RAM is relatively cheap compared to other computer-related parts, and can be slotted in pretty easily. Sure it could slow down if everyone runs off in completely different directions and keeps going, but people aren't going to do that all the time, right? It definitely won't need a Crysis-capable computer. Sure, you'd need a mid-high range computer (~4-6gb of ram) to host properly, but that's not too uncommon here. I'm sure someone could fit the bill.
