ALSO I do not believe in the role of a RULER. Instead an admin whos only job it is to watch over the city itself, and to promote/manage OP's. The only power the "ruler" should have is controlling griefers.
holy shit gregah that's awesome

Are old saves broken?
Don't play Infdev you goon. www.minecraft.net/game/
My mine has now flooded 3 times with lava. I survived all floods barely so I decided to go up and check out the source of it all. I began digging my way up and I finally got to a cave. I searched around a bit and finally found it.

It's so small, it's funny to me...
Yes, what is your point really?
How do you guys dig by the way?
I usually set up my mines like this :
[img_thumb]http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/9777/diggingpattern.png[/img_thumb]
First level I dig like the left one, next level I dig like the one to the right and I alternate until I hit rock bottom, one "pixel" (it's two pixels but you get the point) is one block so I always dig two blocks wide in a straight line.
This makes it possible for me to mine a large area without having to dig up everything, and in case the walls I dig are filled with ore I can just strip it without having to dig around the area to get to the ore.
The darker gray in the bottom right one is to show the lanes I make that you can see in the top right one.
I think this would work better with in-game pictures.
Also it's because signs, broke infdev. Infdev and indev are beinf ruled out soon.
Azur.. .Aezir... 0.o I am scarred.
Also, should we take votes for the name of the red stuff, as official to FP?
:v:
What's scarier is that I meant to type Azeur, as that's my minecraft account name, it's even more similar.
Well, I vote we stop calling it either "ruby" or "thermite". It obviously is neither of the two.
Thermite is highly explosive and completely man-made. It's also non-conductive and is NOT bright red; it's more rust-coloured.
Rubies are also not powdered when mined and not conductive.
Maybe it's some fantasy element made up by Notch.
How about Electrum?
It's kinda like electricity, and doesn't fit with any real-world elements.
Vote agree if you like "Electrum", else vote disagree.
I present you the "flickerswitch"

You have to make a block above the "wire" to turn it ON
If its ON it will flicker for like 1-2 seconds and than turn OFF for some seconds, after that it will turn back ON and repeats

If you place more "flickerswitches" next to each other, the "wait period" will be shorter
:science:
rate
why not Notchium
What about, wire ore.
Wire ore? :raise:
I declare Derpmite.
Why not copper? Makes sense except for the color.
holy shit gregah that's awesome
I know, that's how I work!
I think this would work better with in-game pictures.
Probably, I think I'm going to have to "dissect" it (cut it out so that you can see from the sides) to make it easier to watch though.
I'll get some pictures up tomorrow (in the next thread probably :v:)
Edit : oh and daijitsu, would the mods be angry if you created a separate thread for the facepunch city?
Gonna blow a hole right in the middle of this

Derpmite sounds good.
We should make an official way to make blueprints, that way once MP is up, building large structures will be easy collectively.

Would probably be best to do it in lots of layers.
Derpmite or electrum both sound good, except for pronunciation purposes I suggest calling it Derpite.
Does anyone know where Infdev saves are stored? I got a new laptop and I can't seem to find the folders for it.
So someone bought it for me, and I've been playing all day.
It's a great time-killer, and I like making my home impregnable.
However, I can't see myself playing this long again; I dunno why. It's fun, and me and a couple of guys were playing and talking about our experiences, but it's kind of a lonely trek through an infinite world.
Thank God he's working on multiplayer; it'll be amazing to explore the world with a team.

I don't know why I'd have to make it... aside from being King Elect. v:v:v

You can borrow mine.
Someone may have found out what our friendly red dust is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuprite
I didn't find this, but someone from Brocraft took a wild guess about this.
Why not call it Triggermite. Sounds like a rock/compound, and activates things.
It's not thermite as it has no burning or fiery properties. It isn't ruby as it becomes powder as a result of mining. So call it something cool like Triggermite.

Oh I was planning on making said thread, I just need to organize it and stuff but I thought i'd ask a moderator (you) if it was acceptable, or if I would face a ban and the game-forum moderator telling me to gtfo to this thread.

Makes perfect sense when you think about what it's used for.
What should I make with my first ever diamonds? I have 5 pieces.
Pageking once again

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm using a set of custom blocks in AutoCAD.
You may as well just agree upon a color scheme and make a grid of one pixel blocks that you fill in with whatever as you go, and include a legend.
Why are you debating over what to call "thermite"?
