so it's a real mineral had no idea
so it's a real mineral had no idea
well i didnt come up with that apparently some guy on brocraft found this on wikipedia here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuprite
Is this really that hard to answer? They used to corrupt saves, do they still do that or what?
No If you try to load them in /infdev/ instead of /game/ it crashes I think.
hey guys what about electricians? why arent you adding them, i mean i can see quite alot of people not being able to make certain things work and or not understanding how to use the cuprite
see mah city thread
well i didnt come up with that apparently some guy on brocraft found this on wikipedia here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuprite
Looks pretty much like the red stuff now doesnt it?
Yeah I looked it up after you said it. It's used in wiring because it's so good at conducting electricity. I thought it was just a fictional nameless red ore [editline]01:05AM[/editline]
no it isnt, were just finding similar ones
It's exactly like the material in game in both looks and function.
Triggerite is a good name, as mentioned before by me and 2 others. We need to settle on a name sooner or later. :v: [editline]06:07AM[/editline] Ninja'd
no it isnt, were just finding similar ones
He means he had no idea cuprite was a real mineral. So we spent all this time debating what the red stuff was, and (wait for it) Cuprite was the culprit. :v:
I meant that I had no idea the in game mineral exists in the exact form in real life. Regardless of Notch's intentions. Not a big deal anyway
You never know we might be wrong and it could be something that notch made up and just happens to be similiar to cuprite
Maybe, but it's so similar to cuprite we might as well say it is. By that logic, those blocky green things could be something Notch made up that just happen to be similar to trees. EDIT: :ninja:
every substance in the game could be of his imagination and they just happen to be similiar to things in real life
Stone pickaxe. Pick it up and put it above ground, and it makes pigs.
That didn't work, it's destroyed now.
I started a project some days ago, and I never realized how much of a downer large projects are. When I say this, I mean the amount of time that has to be put into resource gathering, and slowly carving the building sites. compared to creative's ability to insta-delete things.

NEVER GIVE UP. Anyway, in multi player you'd probably make these things in large groups, so they'd be a lot easier. [editline]06:16AM[/editline]
That didn't work, it's destroyed now.
You can't pick them up anymore.
You can't pick them up anymore.
What? Why not? I just loaded a save of it before I destroyed it. Damn, King for once.

Next time I'm just going to use NBTForge
electricity iron doors buttons levers machines JESUS TITTY FRICKEN CHRIST
Sounds awesome, thanks. Going to try it out in the morning :buddy: What does the thermite do, by the way?
It is wiring. It's also not thermite, as Notch specifically said in a chat - though what it is is still debated.
Am I the only person who doesn't have time to read the whole thread any more (when you wake up and there's a new thread with 1000 posts it can be kind of difficult).
who cares what it is? It's a red glowy rock in a game
Characters need separate textures for arms and legs.
I think we should have to craft wires from Red stuff before we can hook stuff up with it. Something like this
WWW RRR WWW R- Red stuff W- Wool
And you would get ~16 wires from it.
