I never bought this, used to play with my friends in a server of my own. If i buy it, Will i have to rebuy it when it's finished or something like that?
And asfor the infdev/survival/whatever mode. What do you do exactly? Mine for shit, Build bases, Get food and protect yourself against monsters? And do you think there's a possibility that he's going to keep the infinite levels as an option (Read on the blog that he's going to remove it in multiplayer because the ram usage would be huge when playeres scatted)? I mean, I usually play with a friend and i mean, what would be the point of playing together if you're going to scatter around that much?

yep i read that to and i also hope he keeps it an option otherwise the entire place would look a nuclear explosion site after a while (on account of all the mining) and then we'd have to start a new server

It should atleast be kept in singleplayer.

Definitely worth it. Most people that get tired of it quickly usually aren't very creative.

Apple trees should be rare in amongst other trees, drop apples and seeds when branches die and can be replanted. Instant apple tree farm...also the wood has to be different, maybe not harvest-able.

So here's the first level, I dug directly into the side of the mountain, and found some coal on that first line to the left.

Second level here, this time I'm digging directly into the mountain instead.

Same as the first level, found some more coal which you can see from the place where it has been dug some.

Third level and I found some iron in one of the shafts, as you can see I get a clear view of both walls so I will find minerals without having to dig up the whole place.

It also gives some space in case you find a huge vein of something, without wasting pickaxes on digging stone to find it.

I think when Notch says he is removing the infinite option that there will still be a huge amount of land available. I'm thinking you will probably be able to walk about 5 minutes in every direction before the map cuts off.

That's really not a lot. I remember creative servers with 1024x1024 maps that took like 25 minutes to simply walk across.
