Wow, I wish there were in-game maps (possibly that you could craft). That would be ridiculously helpful for cave exploring.

Ohshit. I'm lost in an incredibly deep underground cave in the middle of the night, and I found a creeper.

So, minecraft is suddenly running extremely slowly for me. I was playing around last night, and everything was working well, but now, for some reason, it's running so slowly as to be entirely unplayable. Nothing has changed between now and last night, yet trying to play on any of my worlds, in browser, or with the downloadable client, the game drops to 0 FPS within a few seconds of loading. It only slows down once I move, and never gets any higher than 3fps afterwards. I thought that it might have been my antivirus being a dick, and scanning all the files as the chunks were loaded, but if that were true, the problem would go away once the world loaded properly. I'm not RAM capped, I'm not processor limited. What the hell is going on? Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this, or is anyone else having the same issue?

This update is actually useful. Not like the water that only annoys you.

I hate when you find a spider in a cave and take a moment to prepare yourself and then you look back and it's gone. A bit like real life.

Well apart from the gold blocks, but still the pickaxe is useless, lasts as long as the stone pick axe.

Gold tools = Wood tools, not stone, I do believe.
