Why not just put up chests in stores (more like warehouses) where people can grab/dump their stuff? If it's dumped in sewers, there are a high chance that it will be forever lost if noone picks it up at the moment it's thrown out since dropped stuff dissapear.

It's a good idea but it won't work unless there is someone who works in the sewers and picks the stuff up and puts it in chests.

Yes. That would be a dream come true. I honestly can't stand looking at the ugly flowers/ladders/doors. Blocks are okay but the other stuff and the skins need more detail.

place water in 3 block hole like so:

To grow wheat, you need the tilled dirt blocks to be (I think) < 3 blocks away from a water source to get the tilled dirt wet.
Till grass to gain seeds.
Wait till the wheat looks yellowy brown before harvesting.

+ Gold is just as weak as wood, use diamond instead!
+ Placing sand directly above lava turns it into lava!
+ The simplest way to make your tower monster proof, is to have an under water entrance.
+ Saves can be found in "C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\.minecraft
+ To get water to flow how you want, put the spawn so it can only go in one direction/the directions you want, then use blocks to guide the water. You can then delete the blocks (but not the ones around the spawn)

If the water ends at an edge, which falls into a lava pit, the items will fall into the pit, but the water will stay at the edge.
