Started my first themed project today, to have a self contained underground colleny blocked off from the surface.
Started by going into a random cave system, digging in a direction and sealing myself off.

I actually find zeppelins and single-person hot air balloons a lot better ideas than air planes, jets or space ships. Would be awesome to build a zeppelin and ride it with 2 other friends through the skies.
Is there any way to create infinite lava? I'm trying the infinite water trick with it, and it doesn't seem to be happy. :(

I would like some kind of air vehicle in Minecraft. We have minecarts, and we will most probably have boats, but I don't see any air vehicles approaching. I think if we had one that had sails, and had some kind of magical stone that made it float, it would fit with the theme of Minecraft, because there would be no engine, just like a flying boat powered by some kind of magical object.
