What the fuck, the game had nothing to do with halo except for the fact that there are guys wearing suits, and there is some sort of alien life killing people, on Earth.

Like all of the other Crysis threads.
I didn't like this game. It had pretty good gameplay, great graphics.
It also had a GODAWFUL story. It isn't the only thing I look for in a game, but it's as if the gameplay and the graphics give it an 8, and then the story drags it down all the way to a -10.
Also, unless they fixed this since last time I played, too many hackers in multiplayer.
i think the story is fine to a point, its a basic action fare, like a mediocre film really, the alien side of it should have been so much better, but there is alot it did right.

I mean, it would have just been mediocre (I wanted to spell that with a k) if it had been the first time it had been done. But as it is, they just recycle all the old garbage with things that don't follow any logic or basic arc.
The only problem I had with it was that the helicopters were still able to see me through 257 layers of branches, trees and leaves. Other than that it was entertaining.

Crysis has it's redeeming features, and is good fun. But I agree, it's not the marvel of video games engineering many view it as.
The difficulty seems to vary hideously depending on your strategy. The stealthy approach makes the game piss easy, for instance. Although putting C4 on a car, driving the car into an enemy base, then detonating it is fun, it also makes the game much more difficult.
The aliens were just tedious though. And the multiplayer seems like something cobbled together for the sake of having multiplayer.
I don't see the resemblence to Halo either. Crysis makes the player feel much more empowered than Halo, given the different suit functions.
The first levels of Crysis were great. Launching your car through the roof of someone's garage and crushing them never gets old.

So you payed about $300 for your computer a year ago?
Or $1000 5 years ago. I got my computer half a year ago for $750 and it can run it on the highest settings with ease.
Sure, it was like this when it came out, but technology improves over time.

ITT kid upset because his PC couldn't handle Crysis.
I found Crysis a nice change from what is now a generic shooter (shitty story and class based multiplayer) to a kill everything cause it isn't you FPS of old. It looked nice, played decently, and the story wasn't too bad (when they found the alien stuff in the mountain I honestly thought it was kinda creepy).
