I have the collector's edition. Was only like $15, and comes in a nice steelbook. I also happen to like the game.

if the OP hates the game so much why does he have 29 hours of logged gameplay on his Steam account?
This game is terrible; here's a list of reasons.
- Unless you have a computer with and overpriced graphics card and processor, you will experience severe lag, frequent freezing, and a horrible time loading
- If your save game file fails for some reason, it crashed the entire loading screen and you have to delete it, that is if you can find it
- The multiplayer is nothing special
- It's pretty much a rip-off of the crappy Halo series, only with top-notch graphics and more features
- The enemies are stupid and are invincible most of the time at very long range(unless you have a gauss canon, sniper rifle, launcher, or the strange alien gun profit finds)
- On the subject of annoying enemies, the
aliens you encounter are insanely annoying to kill; they fly all over the place and shoot icicles of some sort at you, without them overheating
Overall, it's just boring and a waste of money.

- My 9600GT was quite cheap and can run it just fine on high.
- Save game never failed me.
- Crysis itself wasn't really made for Multiplayer, that's what Crysis Wars is for.
- Never played any game of the Halo series so I couldn't give a shit.
- What? The enemies ARE stupid, but not invincible, far from that.
- Aliens are cowards and babies.
This isn't 2007 :smug:
i think its been established the guy was just a really BAD (as in not very good at it and SOOOOO obvious) troll

I'm on my temporary shitty Dell PC, and it's never frozen, and on a 2.9ghz dual core, the loading time is pretty average.
So what? All games do this. My Splinter Cell Chaos Theory crashed at loading, and when i reloaded the save, i was stuck in the ground and had to restart the mission.

Not all multiplayer is suppose to be "innovative and unique"

Yeah, because any game that have futuristic full body suits must of copied Halo :downs:

Seriously? You're probably just a bad shot.
I hope you're being sarcastic. The entire "FPS" genre isn't exactly the most original idea in the world, since it consists of "pretend to be this man with a gun." Not saying it isn't enjoyable, of course not, but you could say FPS's rip off of real war if you wanted to say that.
Crysis was a good game until the aliens came in.

I would actually agree here. I loved the game right up until about halfway down the frozen mountain fighting the alien bots. They got annoying to me, and the linearized gameplay felt really forced and clunky.
The set pieces in the second half are crazy epic, though.

Or maybe they just don't take damage.
Fy-71+Sniper Scope+Incendiary Ammo=No damage at approximately 60-90 feet/yards?

USA and Koreans (covenant and humans) fight on an island (Halo), and then they stumble upon an enemy that has been resting there for an uncountable ammount of years/centuries(the Flood).
It's not rocket science.

Nvidia GTS 250 1 gb (made in early 2009)
2.00 GB RAM
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ 3.0 Ghz Dual Core
Settings: Most medium, some high
Frame rate: 20-30fps
I was expecting a 2007 game to not start 1 second freezing after every 5 or so seconds after every cutscene or load.

They should have at least tried.
Oh, and I'll describe the dumbest glitch ever.
The large Alien that the marines were trying to fight on the island was glitching like hell during the fight on the boat. It kept turning invisible, disappearing into the ground, coming out again, and repeating that. Then I looked over when I was getting some ammo and saw that one of my comrades was completely white(yes the color white, all over him).

A GTS250 is a low-end budget card.
Dual cores struggle to keep up with crysis, I have the problem myself too.
You probably have some prebuilt that has a low RPM harddrive.
Even today, crysis is a demanding game. Hardware today can hardly max it all out with AA and AF.
what resolution is the OP using?
this is my PC playing Crysis on all settings on very high DX10 at 1024x768 with no problems at all.

specs:
Intel Pentium Dual-Core E6300 2.8ghz
ATI 4670 512mb GDDR3
4gb DDR2 800mhz
160gb 7200rpm hard drive
external 320gb 7200rpm hard drive
600watt Coolmax psu
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
I get about 25 to 40 fps
Halo is shit.
This game is the sex.
Only a fucking rubbish comp can't play it.
I'll agree with most people, i loved the korean sections, and when the aliens came, originally i was like, omg this is soooo good, from a storyline pov, but it just got a bit samey.
Either way, i completed both Crysis & Crysis Warhead, and enjoyed them both a fuckload. I think a crysis mod, without aliens, and just realistic missions would be awesome.
You sir, are a nob.

update your drivers, de-frag your computer, mature a little bit, then come back.

Why are you complaining that this game was hard? If anything it was too easy. Delta almost wasn't even a challenge and the cloak mode just made it unfair (For the North Koreans of course).
I also don't know why you are getting all these problems, but it is your computer's fault though so your opinion about that isn't valid. My friend's computer which I built two months ago had a Q8200, ATI HD 4770, and 2GB of 800MHz RAM. He runs the game with 30+ FPS with three settings on very high and the rest on high. No AA and at 1280x1024.

Learn to read! I said that I can play it, it just doesn't get a framerate as good as even newer games such as Left 4 Dead 2 and Bad Company 2.
what resolution is the OP using?
1440x900 (Full resolution)
It probably explains why it can get a frame rate as low as 15-19.
i tell you what. stop fucking playing it then.
I'd call the OP an idiot, but that would be complementary.
ill do it for you then
IDIOT
If you people are going to keep comparing every single FPS to halo then I suggest you to...

We have all already bought crysis two years ago.
Maximum Edition was on sale on Steam for 10 bucks and i had just bought a brand spankin' new Alienware Aurora.
So, Why the fuck wouldn't I buy it?

but why did you buy an Alienware is the question.
Crysis is good , but Crysis 2 is going to be casual shit due to Crytek putting it on consoles.
but why did you buy an Alienware is the question.
this
My old Mac (Macbook pro alu) can run this medium, it does not need so much.

No, Consoles get a shitty version.
inb4 "i heard mass effect was awesome", "Modern Warfare is gonna be bullshit, it's not even in WWII anymore" and "GUYS! TF2 IS OUT!!!"
Crysis is good , but Crysis 2 is going to be casual shit due to Crytek putting it on consoles.
Crytek are gonna make the engine for PC, console players are getting a dumbed down version.
