I really hope they do not turn Crysis 2 into a matchmaking type deal. Crysis and Wars are great and the powerstruggle mode is awesome I want the same quality of multiplayer on consoles, or at least semi close to that of PC. If the console version is anything different from PC, like matchmaking and team deathmatch style gameplay only with unlocks and Call of Duty mentality and stuff then I will not buy it for consoles. I understand that the controls are going to be dumbed down a bit but i hope it still keeps that awesome unique multiplayer with explosive finishes
Like all of the other Crysis threads.
I didn't like this game. It had pretty good gameplay, great graphics.
It also had a GODAWFUL story. It isn't the only thing I look for in a game, but it's as if the gameplay and the graphics give it an 8, and then the story drags it down all the way to a -10.
Also, unless they fixed this since last time I played, too many hackers in multiplayer.
Why are people so anal about the background story in a game when it comes to Crysis?
I mean, it's not like every other game up to then was brimming with originality in the story department. Half-Life 1 and 2 were great games with crappy stories as well, you didn't hear anyone go WHAT THE CHRIST, ALIENS? AGAIN?? WORST. GAME. EVER. about those.
Crysis could've been a real monsterhit if it weren't designed to only be run well on the top 5% rigs on the market. Do you have any idea how modable that game was?
but why did you buy an Alienware is the question.
My old custom build desktop was loud and noisy, this one runs well and is quiet. And it's easily cusomizable if i want to add better parts later on.

Can't wait to play around with CryEngine 3 and it's awesome SandBox 3 Editor and indirect light system.
The OPs reason for it being similar to halo made me lol.
Crysis > you go to an ISLAND to fight another COUNTRY
Halo > you go to a RING to fight ALIENS
Aside from the location part, doesn't that just about sum up a majority of FPS games?
On a side note, I really hope Crytek does a good job of crysis 2, or if they don't at least have an improved PC version of the engine to match the old one or something, because as it stands now, it has nice new features, but a lot of things just look worse.
As long as the game has a good editor I will buy it.
